If you choose an answer to this question at random, what is the chance you will be correct?
A)25%
B)50%
C)60%
D)25%
Could you tell me why?
admin answers:
Fatima, as there are four possible answers then the chance of being correct would be one in four. Which
in this case is answers A and D. As there are now two correct choices, this has now increased your
chances of having the correct answer to two in four, or 50%.
Be assured however that you can not then combine the two 25%’s with the one 50% and say you have a 3
in 4 chance, or 75%, of being correct. Doing so will earn you a 100% chance of being wrong!
