Steven asks…
Why are people so mean to fat girls?
I know right off the bat I’m going to get a lot of negative comments on this question…
Anyways, I’ve personally gotten a lot of rude comments and have heard and read comments directed at others. Fat people are told they are lazy, ugly, selfish, stupid, an eye sore, and usually told “I don’t feel sorry for you, you did this to yourself.”
I’ve heard a lot of people justify this by saying that its not healthy to be fat and this is the only way to motivate them to get thin and healthy. Really, they are doing them a favor by caring about their health. I do agree on one point only, yes in many cases being overweight can be a health risk but is it any of your business?
I’m just tired of being a joke to every one because of the way I look, I exercise nearly every day. I have a job and I help support my family, I bike or walk to work…and I still get comments.
“Maybe if you got off you’re lazy ass and exercise…”
“You’ll never get a boyfriend if you look like that.”
Not to mention comments I get when I do exercise and eat right.
“Look at that fat girl trying to jog ha ha!”
“Eating a salad and diet pop, as if. She probably had chips and a bowl of ice cream for breakfast.”
Really? It’s like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. Why can’t people just keep their snide comments and remarks to themselves?
Sorry, a bit of a rant but some people really pissed me off today with their “fat girl” jokes.

I agree with you entirely.
I don’t know if this will help you feel better, but the type of people to make those snide remarks don’t just limit their comments to fat people….they are generally insecure, immature people who like to judge anyone that doesn’t meet their standards of what is acceptable in society. The very same people who berate fat people are often the same ones who are racist, homophobic and just generally deeply unpleasant individuals…the kind of people who criticize anyone and everyone.
So the truth is they are NOT judging you because you are fat, they are judging you because they are generally sh*tty people who have no self awareness and the maturity level of a 3 year old. Sorry to say these people really do exist, it’s best to try and ignore them or have a good comeback to put them in their place.
All the best x

Ruth asks…
Am I a hypochondriac or do i have a tumor?
Basically
I am male, 35, England.
Good health, relatively fit. Exercise regularly.
This is not a regular complaint, just an “every so often” complaint
Every so often I go through spells where i just dont feel right. I feel uncomfortable driving as my eyes seem to be lazy….likewise watching tv. I also can feel very very slight nausea. Never got sick, just very slight nausea. I might get very light headaches at seperate times. Nothing regular mind. Sometimes get light tingling in my finger tips. Sometimes have to squint reading or watching tv. I have glasses for the last 2 years. These things happen with or without them
This might not happen for months, then i might get it again for a few weeks then gone again for months. Its most likely eye strain/Stress i think.
I have been tested for so many things down the years that eventually my Doc had to sit me down and tell me i was a hypochindriac and to stop stressing. (i have thought i had every cancer known to man, i thought i was diabetic, i thought i was having a heart attack, thought i had a tumor so the doc looked at me and an opthometrist did an eye test, i have had 3 ulstrasounds on various parts of my body etc etc) That was embarrassing. Maybe its eye strain, maybe its stress, maybe i have a brain tumour? My dad died young of a Brain Tumor (51)and I never received counselling and this could all be connected I i guess.
There is no history of heart problems in my family whatsoever and i have healthy cholesterol levels and regular Blood Pressure.
Am I dying
or am i as my doc says, a hypochondriac?
admin answers:
Your doctor is correct, you are not dying. I think you are stressing yourself out too much with your hypochondriac tendencies. Enjoy Life….Your lucky your cholesterol and blood pressure are great.

Linda asks…
Headaches, Pain around eyes, anxiety.. Need help explaining whats happening to the doctor..?
Hi, I’m a 20 year old from Toronto, Canada.. I could really use some help.. if theres anyone out there..:(
I’m actually on the way back from visiting a ex girlfriend, and it didn’t go so well because it emotionally and physically killed me.. it brought back too many memories etc.. and I havn’t moved on yet.. even though its like years that we’ve broken up.. I’m going to go see a psychologist when I get back.. but thats not the real issue here..
I’ve been getting these headaches for a few years now and it started around like left eye.. and I believe it made it lazy a bit.. and then 2 years ago.. a bump appeared on the top right of my head and its been getting sore and giving me headaches like crazy.. it seems to affect my right eye.. My vision is getting worse even though I don’t need glasses.. and whenever I exercise or don’t eat right or don’t drink enough water the headache and area hurts sooo much, and it seems to go from the top of my head to my neck etc.. its weird.. and Never really seen a doctor about it..
If you could please help me explain this situation to the doctor it’d be great I’m thinking of heading to emergency tomorrow as I don’t have a family doctor neither can I find one…
If anyone else even has a clue what it is either please let me know.. if I can this pain/issues with my eyes etc gone I could happily get on with my life and MOVE ON!!
Thanks dearly.

Stress will cause headaches. But you said you developed a bump – I would see a doctor about this.
You should print off what you wrote in your question – it explains what you’re feeling very well.
Doctor’s in Ontario are so hard to find – I’m in Kitchener, and usually go to a walk in clinic…but for you – i’d go to the ER. They have more equipment there to use right away. A clinic would just send you else where anyway!!
Good luck my canadian friend.
