Chris asks…
Do you know any particular exercise for eyes?
Coz i dont have a good vision. I have eyeglasses but i dont want to use it. Maybe there are exercises that can make my eyesight clear…
admin answers:
There are no eye exercises that will alter astigmatism, hyperopia, myopia or repair retinal detachment, change macular degeneration, or reverse retinopathy. In short, exercises will not improve vision. This is hype without a scientific basis.

Charles asks…
How can I improve my eyesight?
I want my eyesight to be better so that I can see things more clearly. I have glasses, but I only wear them for reading. Is there anything to do so that I can improve my eyesight? I’ve heard there are certain eye exercises that you can do to improve your vision.
I don’t really like glasses. The reason why I have worse eyesight is because I’m growing, so I have to wear glasses for reading for several years. They said that my eyesight would be back to normal once I’ve grown. I’m still a teenager.
Anything except:
- Laser surgery
- Contact lenses

Millions wear glasses and would all like their sight to be better without surgery…but, that’s life.
Be realistic, if there was a simple way, don’t you think it would be common knowledge by now ?
You just have to accept the fact that your vision is what it is, and live with it.
It must be your first time here, because 100 people a month ask the same thing.

Ken asks…
Can you fix your eyesight to get 20/20 vision?
Is there a sort of exercise you can use to get your eyes to work better?
I have a low prescription for nearsightedness. Can I fix this?
I do not want to get surgery!

I’m not sure if you can “fix” it, as you say. I have really poor eyesight (mine apparently is -4 and I literally cannot see clearly beyond my nose). My optometrist a few years back showed me an exercise that would help me adapt to the strong prescription of my new glasses. She told me to focus on near and far object alternately, which i did using a pencil and another faraway object like a wall. You hold the pencil close to you eyes, not too close but close enough to have a clear view of it, and then you look beyond the pencil to the object in the distance. Then you return your gaze to the pencil again, and you do this over a few times more depending on how comfortable you find the exercise. You’ll find the muscles in your eyes have to adjust substantially each time your gaze shifts, and this exercises the muscles. I found it helped a little in my case, but my eyesight is terrible, so it might help you more than it did me. She also gave me a card with letters of the alphabet on it, and made me hold that up and then recite the first line, and then look at the wall, then go back and read the next line, which also got my eyes to adjust and focus quickly. Hope this helps and maybe others can tell me if this advice was appropriate…btw i am going for laser surgery soon:) if your eyesight isnt too bad, im sure you can improve it with more eye exercise, a proper diet and some “eye rest.”
