Thomas Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Thomas asks…

Is my hamster okay??….?

My hamster is acting strange lately…..Every time i let her wander around in front of me on the carpet, she squats as she crawls. Oh my goodness!! Boy was i scared to death today!! I gave her a bath (i bathe her at least once a week). But i gave her a bath in the big tub and almost filled it up to the top. I no that was very stupid, but i wanted to see what difference it would make on her smell. Her eyes and nose were just above the water. Then she started sinking, so i brought her back up to breathe. She kept on sinking, and then she just gave up!! So i held her in my hands and gave her two firm squeezes and then she started breathing again. I dried her quickly, but next thing i know, she was pooping all over the towel – aww, poor baby icon sad Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye . Scariest experience i’ve ever been through!! I was soooo upset but shes okay now. From now on, i’m gonna give her less frequent baths, and rinse her in the sink…right?? And she’s been very lazy and tired lately. Almost everyday now, she wakes up at 8pm!! Our schedule is until 3:20pm – is that okay? If not, then can you suggest a certain time please? I come home from school everyday at 3:15pm and wake her up when i’m home, get her in her exercise ball for at least 15 minutes and play with her. I clean her cage once a week and i like to brush her gently with a soft toothbrush everyday icon smile Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye oh yes, and another thing. Every night, when shes in her wheel i hear squeaking?? In the daytime shes in her wheel and i don’t hear anything…I checked the wheel and no squeak sounds come out. Why does she squeak?

Please give me some suggestions, or answers to my questions, i need all the luck and help as possible icon smile Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Thank you – godbless

admin answers:

Okay first off i repeat NEVER and i mean NEVER give a hamster a bath! When they are wet whether warm or cold they can get sick EASILY,plus if you really think the hamster is dirty enough to where it needs a bath just get a warm cloth wipe it on her fur and dry her off thats it,hamsters clean themselves they don’t need baths. She might be getting like this because she might be getting sick the thing i would do is take her to the vet to see if it’s not an emergency,it’s always good to check when hamsters start acting weird and not normal.

Hope this helps

Can a someone please tell me what on earth is going on on your opinion, Dont tell me to go see a Doctor.

admin answers:

Clinical depression. Life in a rut. People cannot live like this for long without becoming very ill.
Start adding foods rich in Vitamin E to your diet (eggs are good, oily fish is better). Drink less coffee (you have become addicted.) Also watch the sun rise and watch it set to help get back in synch with the real world.

Mandy Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Mandy asks…

Does she have feelings for me?

Hey people, I need more feedback so here is my question again icon smile Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye .

I love this special girl, and I have all the reasons in the world to love her. I mean, since I know her, I fell for herself and when I look at her, even if we’ve known each other for a while ( 1year and half ) I was and I’m still wowed by her beautiful eyes and… she’s just a natural beauty! I’m starting to think… why do you aim so high… out of your league… but what can I do, I fell for her.

I wanted to tell her that I had feelings for her today because we were in the “love subject” but then, she said she would like her future boyfriend to be fit and train for himself without being a meat head. ( She trains too, but for herself, not for others… it’s like a passion to her icon smile Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye )

So yeah… I just talked normally not talking about my feelings because it scared me… I’m fat, but it’s not because I’m a lazy couch potato that eats too much. I have a neurological condition that makes my muscles weak and… even leaves me in a wheelchair ( electric when I go out because manual… would not do it for me. ) I still exercise to keep the weight off… but it’s hard! Anyways, that made be off my game icon sad Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye . I know she’s not shallow, but being human and training her self… you know…

Anyways, for you guys to judge better I will talk about our relation. We are good friends, and specially for about 4 months. She even told me that she was happy to have me as a friend because she knew I will not judge her, that I was sweet and because she can trust me like no one else ( oh the pressure!!!!). Anyhow, I’m what you can call a nice guy, but not the social tofu version, it’s natural to me and I assure you that I can be interesting and funny icon razz Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye even if I sound serious.

So do you think she could still love me if I’m fat?

Since I’m probably in the friend zone, is there a way to bypass it and… maybe give a relationship a try?

Susan Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Susan asks…

How long do you think it will take for my alcoholism to kill me? What can I do? Am I an extreme alcoholic?

please give me an honest opinion.

I’m 24 years old, and I’ve been drinking for 6 years. But at first since I was under 21 and I just asked my parents/sister for some beer every now and then it wasn’t so bad, but when I was 19, my grandfather paid for a trip to Cancun that I took with my friends and my girlfriend from back then, I spent all summer in Cancun where the drinking age was 18, well for 2 months, it wasn’t just a 6 pack here and there, it was constant drinking, and ALOT of liquor and beer with some wine thrown in here and there, and well I enjoyed it, so I came back an alcoholic, and from there on I started drinking about 12 beers a day at first, then about 18, I also drank liquor here and there and my family and friends were very upset, but I’m a master manipulator lol some have called me a sociopath, so I manipulated them into buying them for me, it caused me some legal problems too and at first I just had to pay fines (well my parents/grandfather) and then they gave me a suspended sentence and probation, well I somehow managed to convince my probation officer to not alcohol test me and I didn’t stop drinking. I didn’t go to college and I’d just sit at home all day drinking and playing video games, smoking cigarettes and writing, and at night I’d just go to strip clubs and sneak in liquor on a flask.

Well after I turned 21, it got worse, I started drinking a lot of liquor and more beer, for 3 years now I drink about 24 beers a day (coors light or corona), and about 3-7 mini bottles of vodka (50ml), and every now and then some wine. I also binge drink a lot to get drunk faster.

Well up until recently I’d pretty much lost a lot of my friends and my parents had just given up on me, they still gave me money to buy alcohol but I could tell my father hated me.

Well now through some luck (well not really luck), I inherited money and a house from my grandpa, so now I have no reason to stop drinking. Sometimes I honestly don’t care and I’m really happy, but sometimes I get depressed and feel alone (my girlfriend broke up with me because I cheated on her) and I realize that me drinking has really ruined me.

But now I’m not ruined, well not really ruined I have money now and I’ve been spending it on more drinking, more sex, and more hedonistic lazy pastimes. But I see other people my age and they’re in serious relationships and even thinking about marriage, while every Friday night I’m passed out at a random girl’s house after having a one night stand or worse yet passed out by myself after watching online porn. I also just hire escorts and go to strip clubs and parties, and while I do have fun, sometimes I feel like it’s all meaningless and in the eyes of the world Im a loser.

My mind also changes a lot, sometimes I feel happy sometimes depressed and since I inherited the money I got excited that I might never have to work again but at the same time it’s made me feel worthless. I’ve also gained weight which I don’t like.

So based on the above how long do you think I have? I drink about 24 beers a day + 7 shots of liquor, smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day, don’t exercise much, don’t eat healthy. and I’m 24 years old about to turn 25 and been drinking for 6 and a half years, I’m 6-1, weigh 215 pounds.

Everytime I think about stopping my drinking I get anxiety and my whole world revolves around drinking.

admin answers:

Drinking that much is just going to mess up your liver. You can’t tell how long it will take but it could be soon that you’re admitted to hospital because of over drinking and giving yourself blood poisoning or hitting your head from falling over and having a stroke or getting injured severly because of you’re drinking.

There’s nothing good about wasting your life like that. I bet if you sobered up your girlfriend would come back or you’d find someone you’d want to settle down with who’d make you be more sensible and make you stop being such a bum (because that’s what you sound like).

I doubt your Grandad wouldn’t be proud (sorry about your loss though) that you spent the money you inheritied on sex, booze and strip clubs. That’s a little bit sick.

I’d get help. Go to a doctor or AA meetings, whatever. Please, just go get help or you’ll end up 6 feet underground with no legacy.

Sandra Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Sandra asks…

I have a problem. I’ve had this problem all my life.?

I’ve never been able to keep the pace with others, physically. Since kindergarten, probably before then, I used tricks to make it look like I went on the entire hike, along with the others. That’s one example. I’ve NEVER run half a mile. Jogging lazily for 2 minutes almost definitely kills me, though I’ve jogged a bit longer, maybe even 3 minutes. I can feel it in my bones, in the marrow, like my limbs fall asleep and also they shake. My voice gets raspy, my teeth feel dizzy, the clouds itch my eyes, and most of all, I can’t continue.

I have a very attractive body, and have even sold it many times. I work out a couple hours every day, anaerobically, and have done so since I was 9 years old.

I now ask you to define my problem, because I’ve been to 4 doctors, which have caused me to hate doctors. The first two said it’s exercised induced asthma (w/out doing any formal tests, just asking me questions about my history). The 2nd two said it is clearly NOT asthma. They did tests. My lungs are in excellent condition. My lung capacity is excellent. My blood pressure is usually on the low side, but not unhealthily low.

Ironically, I can beat most people swimming laps UNDERWATER, but not in the usual way. I can’t swim well, or play ANY sport to my potential, because of this problem. But I can hold my breath a long time, for what it’s worth.

I’m not going to go into my diet, which is highly unusual, because it’s irrelevant…it has significantly changed over the course of this affliction.

I have tried to overcome this a number of times, by running, jumping rope, just by will power. I have used will power to great advantage in other areas. I am not just lazy. This seems to be a physical limitation. It also affects my sex life, of course. Right now, I’m merely memorable as the best they’ve ever had,..whereas if this were not weighing me down, I could be the best they could even imagine.

Here’s a link to some pics of me, so you can see I’m not a tub-o-lard.

Some overweight ppl have said I look like a runner. One of the pictures was taken after I had not eaten for 17 days. I normally don’t look so thin.

My latest doctor, who made me wait 2 and a half hours even though he knew I had an appt at noon, tersely told me to see a pulmonologist or a shrink. I seriously doubt a shrink is going to find out why I can’t run for shit. That might make sense if I USED TO BE ABLE to run, then suddenly, for no apparent reason, I’m limited. But in this case, there’s been this thorn in my foot all my life. I WANT IT OUT!!!

Chris Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Chris asks…

What can I do about my sister?

She’s 12 years old and all she does is spend all day in her room.
She has her own laptop and she’s on the internet 24/7.
She gets absolutely no exercise.
She has no interest in anything apart from the computer.
She has wasted her entire summer on the computer.
She only has one friend she hangs out with and this friend always lets her down when they make plans and she also spends a lot of time on the computer.
Due to staying cooped up in her room all day she has become pale, has gained weight and is very irritable and lazy.
Every single day I ask her what she’s going to do and urge her to stop wasting her time on the computer and do something more productive but she won’t listen to me. She rolls her eyes and sighs and says that I’m annoying and to mind my own business.
I try to get her to come out with me into the city or to the park or the local library but she always refuses no matter how much I try to persuade her, she says all she wants to do is stay in her room and keeps telling me to mind my own business. It’s like the more I try to help her, the less she listens.
I tried encouraging her to get some exercise. She came with me for a walk about 3 times and won’t go anymore, she acts like it’s a punishment.
What is wrong with her?
we don’t really have parents to intervene.. only our mother lives with us and she’s crazy and abusive and won’t do anything

admin answers:

It could be that she’s depressed. What I would do is try spending a little time with her everyday without pressuring her to do anything “productive”. Like maybe you could watch a movie together or something. Just try to listen to her and be there for her – it sounds like she is pretty lonely/socially isolated. Eventually maybe you can find an activity that you would both enjoy doing outside, and present it to her in a way that doesn’t sound like work. Your parents should definitely consider taking her laptop away for a little while, or even limiting her time to like 2 hours a day. 12 is still young enough that she can’t be expected to make healthy decisions, it’s her parents responsibility to make sure she’s getting enough exercise, getting out of the house, etc…

Betty Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Betty asks…

Scared I may have symptoms of anorexia?

So basically a year ago I was an Aus size 12/14, about 70kg give or take, had extreme body concious issues etc. I remember how I used to eat in secret (thinking it didn’t count if nobody knew) having 3 or 4 or 5 packets of chips as snacks between meals, huge meals etc.
I went to gym throughout 2011, and dropped down to 56kg by mid year, maintained between 53kg and 49kg rest of the year. I think July I got really weird with food :$

I’m now a size 6/10 Aus, 52kg average. I’m eating a fair bit more than I was Nov/Dec 2011.
Average between 800-1300cals a day, however October 2011 I developed the thought that 4digits was disgusting. I still feel like **** for eating that much, even 900 or more makes me feel crappy.
I also do these like.. binges. I’ll eat 3000cals in a day easy. I’m great at eating (I was overweight verging on obese from 8/9 to 14yrs of age) I love it. I used to binge daily. Now I do it every now and then. I don’t throw up. I just eat like 700-800cals the next day.
Example daily diet:
Brekkie- piece toast, instant coffee, fruit (avg 250 to 300cals)
Lunch- probably the same thing
Snack- usually a chai latte if I go to the shops (150cals :$) and occasionally a cookie (200cals)
or else just a piece of fruit or a instant coffe (50 to 100cals)
Dinner- vegie+chicken stirfry, or else fruit and toast, or lean cuisine meal (between 250 to 350cals)
Snack- Coffee.

I’m afraid of gaining weight. But I no longer exercise. See, I quit gym midway through November. It took up too much energy and I’m really lazy now. I find it extremely hard to walk from one end of the shopping centre to the other without trouble. I’ve always got bags under my eyes even if I get like, 12 hours sleep. More and more often when I stand up everything goes black and blurry and I have to wait for my vision to come back and I feel dizzy. I read that when you get up too quickly that happens, but is that the same when you get up from like sitting at a desk for a short time or out of the car?
Every morning I wake up and food is on my mind how much I will eat, what i will eat and how to stop myself from over eating etc.
Am I just being over-dramatic cause thats how I feel. People have real problems and here I am probably just looking for attention but I honestly can’t tell and feel worried. :$ Idk.
What do you think? Anorexia?
Or am I just an OTT drama queen narcissist?
xx

admin answers:

You don’t have anorexia because you have not being neglecting food. Listen less to your mind and more to your body and give it the food it needs, no more, no less. You won’t binge if you listen to it, because it includes realizing what should be in your menu for the meal to satisfy your needs and recognizing when you are done eating and satisfied. Then there will be less binging to feel guilty about (and then, none)

George asks…

Cant Seem To Keep Myself Motivated?

well i have been trying to loose weight for a while but haven’t tried hard enough, so now i have been asking people how to speed up my metabolism and eat healthier and exercising and ive gotten some great answers, ive even looked at some great diets, everything has been opening my eyes and its great but, i just cant keep myself motivated, like for the past few days ive been doing 50-100 sit ups at night, depends on how lazy i am, and i have cupboards and my fridge full of healthy foods and no matter what i even remind myself not to have a t.v dinner or pop tart, but i do anyways because i tell myself its just one thing whats the harm than i regret it. Long story short, i need some motivation, anyone have any stories (btw ive even drew pictures and notes of criticism and its not working..)

admin answers:

Rest. Rest for 1-2 days and come back to it. Just like you need a rest from work, take a day off and use it to motivate yourself for the next day. Its all mental.

If your arent going to be helpful please dont bother posting .
Im directing it to people that post irrelevant things, nonhelpful comments, or just plain “go see a doctor”.
Thank you .

-before problem -
I used to think nonstop .
Id always be daydreaming, thinking outside the box, play impossible scenerios in my head, place myself in other peoples shoes, etc.
Id love puzzles and anything to get my head thinking .

However, summer started and i got EXTREMELY lazy .
id never do anything besides sit infront of my computer screen all day for the whole summer .
The rare times i got out was to try smoking weed (yes i did it a few times just to try)
it wasnt that great so i quit after a few times . (ive also tried salvia but quit too)
My summer was just drugs, nonstop computer, and staying up till 4-6AM and sleeping in till 4-5 PM every day.
After about 2 months of this lazy schedule i started to notice a problem with my head (maybe started before ? im just assuming around this time)

-problem-
I could not think at all .
my mind is constantly blank even now .
if i try to think of something, i cant remember and i cant think .
im often light headed, left with a headache, or both .
Even my sense of time is messed up .
i can get in the shower 5 minutes ago and it feels like ive been in there for 30 minutes already. Sometimes i even wonder when i got in the shower.
I have trouble thinking and focusing .
i cant day dream, think outside the box, or anything in general .
LITERALLY blank minded. its scary thinking about how smart i was before and now im suddenly so blank. im afraid it might be like this forever . Feels like just waking up, how your eyes are open but your mind is still asleep and blank/ fuzzy .
Ive been like this for quite a while .

Since school started ive been waking up early and sleeping early.
ive been doing school weight trainning for exercise
however im still on my comptuer most of the day.
ive quit all drugs but still smoke a cigerette once or twice a month .
ive been sitting blank mindedly for quite a while. Please help ?

-Request-
if you have any idea what this might be please tell me
Can it be fixed, if so how ?
Any suggestions ?

Thank you all in advance. Terribly sorry for the long read.

admin answers:

I’m no pro but I can’t imagine living in a world without day dreaming and letting my mind go nuts soooo. The drugs could of caused some after affect especially the weed, since some of the symptoms match up with the behavior of people who do weed. Even though you quit, it can still have some sort of effect on the body, like most drugs in general. It could also be a neurological problem, maybe you unbalanced something. I’m blaming most of it on the drugs but it could also be something else you’re not aware of. Losing the sense of time is a neurological symptom, your sleeping habits are also related to that area, trouble thinking and just basically normal functions of the brain that can’t be done are all neuro. I’m sorry but you should see a doctor, if it’s a disease it could get worse. I don’t mean to scare you, but it’s really ill advised to decide not to see a doctor. It could just be something simple, or temporary but you should find out for sure, it’s better than not knowing.

George Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

George asks…

Am I ill, or is it just ‘the student phase’?

Recently (this past year) I’ve been tired (I can sleep for 16+ hours a day if time allows it and still feel tired, or as little as 6 hours and still be tired), I’ve lost a lot of brain function eg; memory, thought process, eloquence & linguistics, (I did have a 170+ IQ) and my grasp on reality (I hallucinate occasionally, constantly see shapes and shadows which I mistake for bugs but there’s nothing there, etc.) Also, sometimes I totally tune out, so when I hear people speaking english, eg; if my friend says “pick up the ball” I won’t understand a word she says and will have to ask her over and over before I can understand the clear English she is speaking. I also get headaches (in my eyes, actually) from time to time, as well as twinges in my neck and back (though I do crack my bones like dry twigs constantly, including my thumbs, neck, back, knees, nose, jaws, wrists, shoulders, ankles, elbows, toes, coxix (lower back), middle two fingers, basically every joint.) thougn only my back and neck twinge. I also have odd, recurring dreams that I can change through actions in the dream, because I KNOW In a dream it’s a dream if I’ve had it before. That, and occasionally when I dream something random (like being in class) it then happens within about a week, but I’ve always had that.

My dad tells me it’s what he calls ‘The Student Phase’ where I can’t be arsed to do anything, even speak because its not life-or-death, and I’m just being a lazy teen (I’m 15).
I’m just over 11st, and a size 14 (UK) and about 5ft 8 ish. I can’t seem to lose weight when I diet and exercise, but I don’t gain any when I eat junk food and sleep all day.
Can someone advise me if I’m ill, or if its just me being a teen and just getting a little lazy and edgy?

admin answers:

I think you should definitaly go see a doctor.

I have a few of the same symptoms as you mainly the tired all the time, and eye headaches and i see shadows that aren’t there. Nobodys been able to explain those to me. They’re almost like the aura before a migraine… But not. Somehow they are different but thats the closest to describing them I can get. I’m in college (20) and exhausted to the max. I work part time and go to school full time as a nursing student and have clinicals 7am-7pm on the weekends. I know I’m not just lazy but I always feel lousy somehow. I’ve even considered depression and while I haven’t taken meds, I saw a therapist who thinks I’m dealing with my life normally. So… Sorry that I can’t help you but do know you’re not alone.

The reason I say to go see your doctor is that those symptoms can be part of a tumor or something serious. If they do the right tests and rule everything dangerous out (or even mono, who knows?) then you’ll have peace of mind and can just live with the “student phase” diagnosis.

Hope you feel better!! =)

Thomas Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye

Thomas asks…

I am so tired all the time an it’s really affecting me in school/life (I’m 15)?

SO I know sleep is important, but I barely get any. On average I get about 5-6 hours a night on weekdays, and I rarely go to bed before 12. Now I know that’s BAD but I have so much freaking homework all the time and I’ll admit I am very lazy. But another thing is I always have to get stuff for school ready the night before so I won’t be panicky in the mornings.

Anyway, even when I do get sleep I’m still extremely tired, even on the weekends. And when I come back from school I’m EXHAUSTED!! And I eat pretty healthy and I’m trying to exercise more again but I’m seriously so damn tired I can barely get up (and no I’m not fat or anything not even chubby). Even in the summer when I got 10 hours + of sleep and exercising every day I was still extremely tired. I am pale, and also weak all the time.

And this DID NOT just start, this has been going on for years. I’ve already been tested for anemia/low iron deficiency, and apparently I don’t have it. My blood is perfect, I don’t have asthma, I get sick occasionally but I KNOW that’s not the reason.

I don’t understand how my friends who get like less than 4 hours of sleep a night are as bright as day at school while when I get 5 hours I can barely keep my eyes open. It’s really affecting my concentration, but I seriously can’t help it. I have a hard time falling asleep, like it takes me hours and it always has unless I go to sleep when I’m really tired which is like at around 11:30-12:00 sometimes. Sometimes even when I’m tired I have trouble falling asleep. And I REALLY want to take up sports but I’m seriously so weak and tired but I’m only 15!!! I mean now I’m wondering what am I supposed to do when I’m older and be even MORE tired????? SHould I see a doctor?
I’m just clearing thins up right now:

1. I actually think I do have low serotonin levels b/c that’s what my doctor told me.
2. I’m tired at night too, I don’t think I have Night Owl Syndrome.
3. My mom and great grandmother have thyroid problems. Could that be it?

admin answers:

First you should talk to your parents about this. Yes you do need to go to a Dr. Ask him or she if you can check your B-12 level. There are many reasons why you are tired all time, low B-12, depression which is low serotonin to the brain, etc…. Yes check it out. Good Luck.

Im a Fruititarian because I eat more fruits than veggies. I also eat rice pasta’s breads cous cous and other things you can eat plenty of different things you dont have to make veggies your main stable. Make yourself a fruit smoothy in the morning or have some dried fruit and nut or even trail mix with chocolate in it to snack on if your hungry. There are lots of things you can eat, hell you can even eat top ramen if you really want to just dont use the seasoning packet try something else like tomato sauce or put olive in it or whatever.

Nancy asks…

What will my final height be?

I’m currently 17, 18 in May, and am 5’10. My dad is 5’9, and my mom is 5’6/5’7.

On my dad’s side, his brother and sister are short (5’6 and under), but that’s due to their mom’s genetics who comes from a shorter family. His dad was my height, 5’10, and came from semi-tall genetics.

My mom comes from tall genetics. All of her brothers were 6’1-6’3, and coincidentally, all of my male cousins are 6’1- 6’6 (female cousins hover around 5’8). All of her brothers were about my height until 18, and then hit a growth spurt between 18 and 19 and got their final height. My one cousin who is 20 in May was around 6’1 when he turned 18, and then shot up to 6’4 between ages 18 and 19.

Now, I take more after my mom’s side. Facial features, body structure (except for my feet, I got those from my grandpa on my dad’s side), and body hair (my dad has practically no body hair and has very little on his face, whereas my legs, arms, and pubes are ridiculously hairy, and my face is on it’s way) hair from my mom’s side. Really the only things I got from my dad’s side of the family are nice, blue eyes and his hairline (which is a good thing).

I’ve pretty much experienced every part of puberty except for two things: growth spurt and an excess amount of facial hair. I’ve been fairly skinny most of my teenage, and have yet to go through a growth spurt. There’s been no dramatic change in weight until recently (I’ve put on 25-30 pounds, which is good). There’s been no dramatic increase in height, only steady gains. A tracker of my height:
Age 12: 5’0
Age 14: 5’6
Age 16: 5’8
Age 17: 5’8 – 5’8 1/2
Since November of 2011, I’ve grown 1 1/2 to 2 inches (in 5 months). Over the years I’ve grown an average of 2 inches per year, and this year seems to be abnormal. I’m predicting 5’11 by this summer.
As far as facial hair goes, I just started getting facial hair around last spring.

I still have growing pains, and have been experiencing them a lot more than last year. Last year I could count all the growing pains I had on one hand, a few months ago I started getting them more frequently, and for the past month or two I’ve been having growing pains 3-4 days a week (mostly in my arms, legs, shoulders, and hips/lower back).

The sudden growth spurt might have to do with me being more active. The last couple of years I’ve been lazy. I’ve spent most of my time inside on the computer, rather than outside exercising. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been exercising regularly: working out, running, and playing basketball (the last one takes up the majority of my time).

So long story short, how tall would you expect me to be?

admin answers:

Your genetic potential based on your parent’s heights is about 5’11″.

So Yes, you are going through a growth spurt, and at the end of this summer can be about 5’11″.

Susan asks…

Help & advise about anorexia?

hey i have started recovery from anorexia ( about 5 weeks now ). im 18, 5 foot 6. I was told if i didn’t put on weight i would have to go in as a inpatient but really want to do it in the comfort of my own home. i have a few questions i would like answering

1. I am following a meal plan constructed by my amazing dietrition but 2 days ago i started yet another suppliment called calogen i took it for a day and i weighed myself the next morning and my weight had gone from 6 stone to 6stone6 in a day. I also notice yesterday that my ankles were really puffy. i just wondered if anyone was in the same situation.

2. Also i was given a portion size list and i get my mom to plate up my meals now ( which is a big improvement i must say icon biggrin Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Lazy Eye ) but when its time to eat i don’t feel hungry but complete everything that is on my plate because i know its the right thing to do. my worry is that as my portion size has got bigger i can clear my plate but dont ever feel full or uncomfortable.is this normal??? this is a problem for me because at the moment my meal plan consists of 3 meals, 2 snacks, 2 fruit juices, 1 can of ensure and the calogen taken 3 times a day and in my eyes for the amount i have been eating i should feel full. shouldn’t i???

3. I have done no exercise for a while now and to start with it really did bother me because i felt fat and lazy all the while but now it doesn’t seem to concern me at all. I would like to start doing sit ups and/or crunches but i have been told that you are suppose to gain the weight before you start doing this. is this true or would anyone recommend that i do them as i gain weight and, if so how many do you suggest i do daily?

4. when i started recovery i cried every time it came to eating something but for the past 2 weeks i have been fine with it all and have even started adding little things like butter and my bread and small things like that. over the past 2 weeks tho, i have had no anorexic thoughts or feelings really , which is a good thing but is it normal to just suddenly stop having them?

5. the last thing is, if any recovering/ recovered anorexics would tell me about their recovery (feelings, meal plans, sorts of foods you eat, exercise, what changes in your body you experienced, words of motivation, ect) i would love to read about them so at least i won’t feel alone and know that i am doing the right things.

IM SORRY HOW LONG THESE QUESTIONS ARE BUT ANSWERS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

Much love kaylz xx

The puffy ankles is oedema, best to tell the dr because the sudden increase in food leads to re-feeding syndrome, not always but it’s common, so make sure you let your dietician know EXACTLY what symptoms you are having.

About the anorexic thoughts, yeah it will stop, but if you get them, deal with the emotions by crying / writing it out / talking to someone. But try not to take it out on food. You will deal with the emotions, but the challenge is to take the focus away from food like the anorexia wants you too. YOU are stronger than anorexia, dont let it control you.

Try not to exercise, if you must, just walk for 15-20mins a day maximum. At least for now, then you can safely increase the walking to 30-45mins a day. Try taking up something like salsa dancing, or swimming once you feel ready. You’d keep your fitness level, help regain / repair your muscles too. But again, not too soon. Try and only exercise when you feel ready and ready enough that you can ENJOY it, and not do it to burn calories / lose weight.

About feeling full, its best to eat slowly but not too slowly, it helps you -not be full-, so i’m guessing thats what you’re doing. It’s better for the digestive system too as obviously if someone ate faster, they experience gas and bloating and of course indegestion. You’re on the right track, KEEP GOING!
