Mandy asks…

Google Chrome?!?!?!?!?

ok i downloaded the google earth and it gave me google chrome… like it changed the view of the internet home page. how do i get rid of the whole google chrome thing. i want my normal internet back!

admin answers:

In my opinion google chrome works alot better then mozilla firefox or the traditional internet explorer. You can always uninstall it however by going to the CONTROL PANEL and then going to ‘add or remove programs’ and clicking ‘google chrome’ and then ‘uninstall’.
In the future when you download programs, always make sure you ‘untick’ the certain special features and things downloads have to offer, if you don’t want them added. This itself will save you internet mb usage :) , and time for when you have to uninstall your unwanted programs

Your Questions About Google Translate

Betty asks…

google translate?

Why is it when I try to translate something in Arabic to English it makes no sense?
Can anybody recommend a decent translating site for Arabic?
Google ain’t cuttin it!
Also, any sites for Farsi/Iranian into English?

admin answers:

It ain’t just Google. Most computers have trouble translating any language.

Sandy asks…

How to translate an entire web page on Google translate service?

A paragraph can be translated on Google translate and they also had the facility of translating a whole web page but these days I’ve noticed that when a url is pasted on the appropriate place to translate it doesn’t do anything but says again that paste url for translation.
Have they disabled this service of a web page translation? If not then please tell me hoe to translate the whole page. Also suggest me some other translation sites. Thanks a lot.

admin answers:

Step 1
First, try the Google Translation service. You can visit http://translate.google.com and enter any block of text into the box to have it translated into another language. The default setting is from Spanish to English, but if you click on the buttons you will find drop-down menus that allow you to choose different “to” and “from” languages. If you want to translate an entire web page, just enter the URL (by copying it from your address bar) into the appropriate section and then clicking on the “translate” button.
Step 2
For more language options, try Yahoo’s tool at http://babelfish.yahoo.com. The page looks more complicated than the Google tool, but it has the same functionality, meaning that you can translate blocks of text and entire web pages.
Step 3
Try searching the internet for foreign websites using the new words you’ve learned. You can draw from a global knowledge base while researching for your term paper or article.

Hope it helps you. For more information http://www.iyogi.ca

Your Questions About Google Voice

Thomas asks…

google voice???????????????????????

when using google voice if my computer is off if someone calls me will i go directly to voice mail? or will go thru?

admin answers:

It depends on your setting..
If you set up for your Gmail account it will direct them to voice mail else it will ring your mobile..

Donald asks…

Google Voice????????????????????

if i call from google voice number to someone (talk on my cell) do they take my min?

admin answers:

That actually depends. I have T-mobile with the “MyFaves” that allows me unlimited calls to 5 numbers of my choosing. I setup my Google Voice number as one of those 5, so I can initiate an outgoing call from the web interface and it will ring my phone from my Google Voice number, and when I answer it will connect me to the person I was calling.

It’s somewhat of a sneaky bypass, but it works great. I know that Verizon and some other cell carriers have similar “freebie” plans where you can select a few numbers to have unlimited calls with. Look into it and you can definitely use Google Voice without using your minutes.

Chris asks…

Why does Google Voice sometimes give a busy signal after ringing?

I sometimes use Google Voice to call someone internationally, and sometimes it will ring and then give a busy signal. If I call back right away without Google Voice, it will ring and the person will pick up. Ringing followed by a busy signal seems odd and seems like it might be a Google Voice issue. Has anyone experienced this, and is it a real Google Voice issue?

admin answers:

Google Voice still has some minor issues like that, but those issues should go away over time.

Your Questions About Can Eyesight Improve Naturally

Jenny asks…

Glasses ?! what do you think ?!?

Ok, I felt that my eyesight is deterring and I went to check them, and I was right, the optometrist told me that my eyesight isn’t that bad, and he gave me glasses for reading subtitles on Tv, night driving & for lectures at the university.

here is the deal, I really hate wearing glasses or contact lenses, is there anything I can do to improve my eyesight naturally !!?? …
Maz I think eating carrots doesnt actually help improving ut eyesight ! at least not significantly ! :P

admin answers:

Yep, look up google and type in eye exercises. There’s a swag of them to do. Make sure you have the necessaryy vitamins and minerals [type in on google also. You can get pinhole glasses also that are a sheet of tiny holes [not lenses] they work if its with enough light to see through them.

Daniel asks…

How can eyesight be improved?

Naturally.

admin answers:

Carrots and some eye exercises can help naturally improve vision that is not severely impaired. If your vision is -1.00 or more, or +1.00 or more, the only correction can be achieved with glasses, contacts, CRT, lasik, etc. If you have an astigmatism that’s more than approximately -0.75 along with nearsightedness or farsightedness; well you out of luck in the natural department also. Farsightedness is caused by a shortened eyeball length, nearsightedness is caused by an elongated eyeball, and astigmatism is caused by a “football” shaped cornea. So as you can see, the eyesight largely depends on the shape of the eyeball, and you can’t change the shape with natural remedies.

Helen asks…

short sighted, glasses.?

hi, i’m 13 years old and I got my first pair of glasses yesterday! I am short sighted and I have a agestism (sp?).

My eyes are -1.00 and -1.50 is that bad or good?

I’ve been told I only need to wear them when watching TV and looking at the board in school, will wearing them then improve my natural eyesight because they are not being strained? If not, how can I improve my eyes naturally? Thanks

admin answers:

Your prescription is good because it is quite low. You should only wear your glasses when you need them and remove them when you are doing near work such as reading or computer. Also when you are at the computer you should take regular breaks every 20-30 minutes if you want to avoid eyestrain.
You can try improving your eyes naturally by using pinhole glasses (they are like sunglasses with holes in them) and/or doing eye exercises or the Bates method but you need to be committed and do them for 15-30 minutes daily if you want to see results. They are several eye exercise programs on the net and many people have benefited and have improved vision after doing them.
