How to Improve Your Eyesight Without Surgery

Article by Noel Johnston

Eye surgery is a risky option, no matter how safe they say it is. Not only is there a chance that you might lose your sight, there are the risks of dry eyes, poor night vision, scarring, or infections. Even glasses are better in my opinion.

To properly improve your vision without surgery you first need a little bit of background. People assume that eyesight gets worse with age, but that’s just because they constantly use corrective lenses, which actually worsen your eyesight. The real cause of it is your eye being reshaped due to constant strain being put on it by your ocular muscles. This habitual stress is what eventually causes vision problems, as the distance between your cornea and retina is less than ideal. So the first step to vision correction is to let go of tension in those muscles.

To do this, we use a technique called palming. Sit at a table and place the palms of your hands over your closed eyes, being careful not to let your hands come in contact with your eyes. Focus on letting the muscles of the eye and face relax, and the complete blackness before you. Once you have achieved this hold it for a few moments to habituate yourself to this new feeling of relaxation.

Keeping the relaxation, now its time to get used to using them like this. Try swinging first. Move your eyes from side to side as if you were following a pendulum. Do this for a few moments while being aware of the muscles in your eyes. If you notice any tension coming back go back to palming for a minute. You can also try noticing things of a certain color on a given day. This is a bit different than physical exercises, but it helps perception.

If you keep these routines up consistently you will notice an improvement in you eyesight fairly quickly.

Jenny asks…

how to improve my vision naturally?

admin answers:

I read a very interesting book a few years ago. It was entitled “Take Off Your Glasses and See” and written by Jacob Liberman. It is full of insights and exercises. I have done a few of them (not all, because of laziness!) and I have seen a positive change in my eyesight, even though I am still occasionally wearing glasses.
For one thing, my vision hasn’t deteriorated.
Hope it helps!

Carrots improving vision is a myth:

Eye exercises haven’t been shown to work.

Sandy asks…

please help!!!! is there any way to improve the vision naturally?

is there anything i can do to improve my eye vision naturally?

admin answers:

No. If you wear glasses, no amount of carrots or sleep will change your need for the lenses. Carrots cannot re-shape your cornea. Corrective lenses or laser surgery are the only cures.

Donald asks…

are there ways to naturally improve your vision?

admin answers:

You can’t improve your vision but you can certainly slow down further deterioration with vision enhancing foods such as carrots, pumpkin, tomatoes, bilberries, blueberries, corn and others that you can find in a web search for “vision enhancing foods”.

A good supplement is Vision Defence Formula that you can find in a web search for “vision defence formula”.

admin answers:

It’s a load. Just a scheme to take your money from you and put it in Wolfgang Rosenbauer’s pocket.

There are some ways to improve your vision, but none could be called “naturally.” Corrective lenses and laser surgery are the only methods presently known to science.

Helen asks…

Does prescription eyewear make your vision worse?

I’ve heard from several websites that wearing eyeglasses and contacts makes your vision worse. They cite a research project where several monkeys were fitted with lenses for mild and moderate myopia, even thought hey had none. Apparently the monkeys developed the type of myopia that the lenses were prescribed to heal. The websites claim that it is better to use a prescription -.25 to -.5 diopters below your subscription, or to wear your prescriptions only for dangerous situations.

I have severe myopia, with -7 D in one eye and -6.8 in the other.

1.) Do you think that this may actually work, and if so, for someone like me?
2.) Do eye exercises like the Bates method actually work?
3.) Is it bad for my eyes if I use long-distance glasses to read books or to browse the internet?

admin answers:

Look at the research you just cited and you’ll find a big flaw in it.

1. The monkeys saw perfectly fine without correction.
2. They were implanted with lenses to make them nearsighted.
3. Their eyes corrected themselves to the new lenses so they could see clearly again.

The research is about the ability of the eye to adapt, not any damage corrective lenses do (they don’t do any damage). It’s like when NASA did a research project many, many years ago where they fitted astronauts with lenses that turn everything upside down. After 30 days, they saw everything normal again. That was a study on how the brain adapts, not on the lenses.

That’s the problem with citing ‘research’. People don’t think when they read it and start taking it for fact. It pulls in thousands of people who just take it for fact when it really isn’t.

The website you are referring to and basing your question on is wrong. Glasses do not make your eyes worse. They do nothing but focus light where your eyes need the light to be in order for you to see clearly. If your eyes get better or worse it’s because of your eyes, nothing else.

Improve Your Eyesight Naturally – Exercises to Improve Your Vision Today

Article by David Shaw

Natural vision improvement has been around for a long time, over 120 years in fact and it is something that most people who wear corrective lenses are unaware of. It is a great shame that most people will rush out and buy glasses instead of learning how to improve eyesight naturally at home. Glasses are not the answer as a long term solution for vision problems, all corrective lenses such as glasses or contact lenses do is mask your vision problems and patch up poor vision enough to get you through with vision that is good enough.

Wearing glasses tends to make your vision problems worse and this is why you are told that is time for a new set of stronger lenses after every few visits at your local optometrist. There is a good reason for this and it is not because you are getting older, it is because glasses force your eyes to become lazy and stop them from having the need to heal themselves naturally.

If you want to know the best ways to improve your eyesight naturally you need to understand that your eyes are muscles like any other muscle in the body, with that said it should be clear that with the right eye exercises you can force your eyes to start healing and correcting themselves. Like other muscles that you can strengthen and heal in time, your eyes can do the exact same thing if you use the correct exercises to fix many of the most common vision problems today.

Eye exercises to improve vision have been around for a very long time and those who have benefited from these exercises are quick to report other health concerns such as headaches, migraines and eye straight being elevated all by using the same exercises to improve their vision. Do a little research and you will see the true benefits of eye exercises and what they can do to help you restore perfect vision regardless of your age.
