Your Questions About For Those About To Rock Tab

November 20, 2013

Mark asks…

Is reading tabs actually a good thing for advancement?

I’m just wondering cause I’ve learned more songs by tabs than by ear, and I kind of feel it’s like cheating lol and when people hear you actually learned something by ear they seem to be more impressed.

admin answers:

Absolutely nothing wrong with using tabs and don’t let anyone tell you different. Everyone starts somewhere. If tabs are bad, how about playing someone else’s music? That must be bad too I guess? The point is to learn your instrument well enough to be able to communicate your truth on it. Groove. Swing, feel, mood, etc., etc,. Are out of your reach whether you use tabs are not. Those things don’t come until you can PLAY your instrument. That takes learning. And plenty of professional musicians use tabs. The majority of popular music players don’t read music. When they want to learn a song of someone else’s they generally use tabs. And those professionals who don’t use tabs anymore, most likely did at some point. It’s the same old lie Jazz players used to (and still do) say about Capos on a guitar-”if you learned your fretboard, you wouldn’t need a capo, you could use barre chords”. The fact is Jazz players never understood that Rock & Roll, Pop, Country, Folk, etc. Rely on OPEN strings, something you can’t get with barre chords. Learn in whatever way works best for you. As you progress, you will find yourself learning by ear without realizing it.

Mandy asks…

How do i set my itunes so that the songs play in order of the album?

you can always sort itunes into most played, A-Z, etc but how do i set it so that it plays in order of the album. The way it’s meant to be, because i dont want a Sort.

admin answers:

Not really sure if this is what you’re asking, but if you click on the album tab in your music library, all of the albums should be sorted from A-Z and the tracks should be in order.
If you don’t have the albums tab as an option, right click on that toolbar with name/time/artist/genre/rating/etc, and you can choose the options by which to sort your music, so you can select “album” if it isn’t there already.

Although this option puts the tracks in order, it doesn’t group albums according to artist, release date, etc. I don’t think there is a way to do that besides making playlists.

Rock on :)

Sandra asks…

How can I change my Iphone ringtone to a song that is already on the phone?

How can I change it to one of the songs that is on my Iphone.

admin answers:

You can do it in two ways:

the easy way:

jailbreak it and install cydia+Rock+buy (anyring)
and then you can assign any ring tone to anyone or even make it the default to every body
it will cost you around 3.99$.
The hard way :

do all these steps:

1 – Open the iTunes and click on Music in the left.

2 – Select the file to be converted to the tone and listen to it through the Audio Player and note down the beginning of tone (Look at the counter of seconds and minutes), note that the maximum duration of the tone is 40 seconds.

3 – Click on the file, right-click and select Get info, then Options and type in the (Start Time) the time of the beginning of the tone in (End Time) the time of the end of the tone.

Picture here:

4 – Right-click on the file and select Create AAC Version.

Picture here:

5 – You will find that a file is added to the library, next to the same file when you rearrange them by name (you can distinguish between the original file and the new tone file bu noticing the time of each file).

Picture here :

6 – Select the tone file and click the right mouse button and select Delete and then Remove, then Keep Files.

7 – now to go
My Documents My Music iTunes iTunes Music

You will find a folder named by the Tone name,
Open this folder and rename the file extension (not the file name) from m4a to m4r.

Picture here :

8 – double click on the file and it will be added to iTunes in the Ringtones library.

9 – In iTunes, click the IPhone picture then click Ringtones tab and check the sync ringtones option, then Sync and you’ll find it work in your phone.

After you complete your work go back to the original file and remove the mark we clicked earlier (if you want to listen to the entire file).

Your Questions About For Those Tears I Died

November 19, 2013

Nancy asks…

Is a tattoo on my chest with jesus ripping off the cross appropriate?

I want to get a tattoo on the left side of my chest with jesus on the cross really mad that he tore his left arm off the cross, nail and all…

not like tearing his arm off his body, but the cross..

Would this be a bad tattoo to get? I don’t want to get the traditional tattoo of his just laying there on the cross, i want to be original..

what is your input on this?

admin answers:

That sounds kinda kewl. It might be kind of degrading to God though. Because jesus was born to die on the cross. He doesnt hate the cross, its a symbol of his love.

Steven asks…

How do I remove crabgrass from my lawn without tearing it to shreds and starting new?

I have a stretch of lawn about 40 feet long x 10 feet wide that is consumed by crabgrass.

The rest of my lawn is healthy straight green grass.

How do I remove the crabgrass and let the other grass grow in without reseeding the area??

admin answers:

Crabgrass is an annual grassy weed that will die naturally come the first frosts this fall. Mowing, spraying or pulling now will do nothing for the mass amount of seed that has set and already dropped to the soil preparing for germination next spring.

The best way to prevent crabgrass in a lawn is to maintain a dense, lush turf mowed at the proper height. Crabgrass likes heat & sun. Often times you will find crabgrass along the drive, sidewalk or front curb. Anyplace that’s hot and dry and disadvantages your turf. So what should you do?

1) Aerate your lawn this fall – opens soil to air, water & nutrients to allow your turf to grown better.
2) Fertilize this fall & next spring – promotes a denser lawn.
3) If you water your lawn, water deep & infrequent – light, frequent watering promotes seed germination.
4) Mow at the proper height – crabgrass prefers a lawn that is cut short or scalped. A longer turf shades the seeds of crabgrass and helps to prevent their germination.
5) Use a pre-emergence herbicide like Scotts’ Halts when the forsythia are blooming next spring – this helps to stop crabgrass germination. You do not need to apply this pre-emergence to your entire lawn, just use it in your 40′ x 10′ crabgrass zone. Please read & follow all label instructions when purchasing or applying a pesticide.

Carol asks…

How can I dye my very dark black hair to a natural looking blonde colour?

I am a guy, 17 and was wondering how tricky it would be. I‘ve never done this before and don’t want to make any mistakes that would leave me tearing my hair out instead of dying it properly and efficiently. How much would it cost to achieve this, and what products would you say are the best?

Thanks if you can help me out :]

admin answers:

You’d have to buy the bleach hair color.
Youll have to apply it a couple times to get your designated haircolor and don’t do it all in one time your hair will fall out

Your Questions About For Those Tears I Died Lyrics

November 18, 2013

Daniel asks…

Lyrics that are really beautiful or speak to you about life?

I‘m looking for lyrics that really send a deep message to you. Something positive though. For example, this is what I could come up with:

I get lost in the beauty of everything I see.
The world ain’t half as bad as they paint it to be.
-Come Home by One Republic.

Thunder by Boys Like Girls is really uplifting and beautiful as well.

I really want inspirational songs. If possible, maybe ones with summer-y, light feelings too.

Thanks in advance, and I hope you have a nice day :)

admin answers:

What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
No song better describe the beauty of life. XD
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin’ “how do you do?”
They’re really sayin’ “I love you”

I hear babies cryin’, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more, than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

If Everyone Cared by Nickelback
Gives me Hope
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died

Awakening by Switchfoot
Makes me want to get up and really live life!
Here we are now with the falling sky and the rain,
We’re awakening
Here we are now with our desperate youth and the pain,
We’re awakening
Maybe it’s called ambition, you’ve been talking in your sleep
About a dream, we’re awakening

If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback
Very moving. It makes me want to go change the world
Against the grain should be a way of life
What’s worth the prize is always worth the fight
Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try
So live like you’ll never live it twice
Don’t take the free ride in your own life

Drops of Jupiter by Train
The ENTIRE song is beautiful, with such beautiful metaphoric lyrics. And it makes me happy just by hearing it.

Positive Vibes by Kottonmouth Kings
It’s just so happy!
We need some positive vibes for these rainy days
Let the sun come out keep push these clouds away
We need some positive vibes life’s for fun so go and play
Let the sunlight in, brighten up your day

The Dance by Garth Brooks
It talks about how, despite the pain you may feel, life is always worth living
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared ‘neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you’d ever say goodbye

And now I’m glad I didn’t know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I’d of had to miss the dance

Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
Not strictly a happy song, but the lyrics always hit me hard
And you can’t fight the tears that ain’t coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you’re alive

And I don’t want the world to see me
‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Dancing by Elisa
Yay for music!
I’m dancing in the room as if I was in the woods with you
No need for anything but music
Music’s the reason why I know time still exists

Mandy asks…

What are some of the main messages portreyed in Michael Jackson’s Earth music video/song?

I am doing a project for school on what messages are portreyed in Michael Jackson’s music video for his song Earth. I know there are 3-4 basic concepts he’s trying to get across, but if I could get some other people’s input that would be really helpful! I just need to know what his message for each concept is, and just lots of input on it. I am going to be writing a 2 page essay on it.

admin answers:

He’s talking about humans putting themselves before everybody else.

It’s all in this part. He’s yelling out things that the Human race should be worried about, besides their own little problems. The humans in the Lyrics are the ones saying, “What about us”, while he’s bringing up more important topics.

What about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can’t even breathe
(What about us)
What about everything
(What about us)
I given you
(What about us)
What about nature’s worth
(ooo, ooo)
It’s our planet’s womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We’ve turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We’re ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can’t we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can’t you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about baby boy
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

Charles asks…

What is the name of the song in the 10th Vampire Dairies episode?

It’s slow and sung by a girl, and I really want to find it.
Here are some of the lyrics:
Not a stranger
No, I am yours
Crippled anger
Tears that still drip sore
Fragile frightened, with misery
When our eyes meet
I know you see
I do not want to be afraid
I do not want to die inside just to breath in
I‘m tired of feeling so alone
Relief exists I find it when I am cut

I want song title and artist, mostly artist, please!

C Save yourself, you know what you gotta do
J Oh my god

And to let you know the lyrics are a little changed around because I only know the one from The Runaways the movie with kristen and dakota.

Laura asks…

What are the lyrics to the song Your Call by Secondhand Serenade?

I’m looking for it, but my school blocks most lyrics search sites.

admin answers:

Waiting for your call, I’m sick
call, I’m angry
call, I’m desperate for your voice.
I’m listening to the song we used to sing in the car.
Do you remember, butterfly, early summer?
It’s playing on repeat…
Just like when we would meet.

‘Cause I was born to tell you I love you,
and I am torn to do what I have to,
to make you mine.
Stay with me tonight.

Stripped and pollished, I am new, I am fresh.
I am feeling so ambitious; you and me, flesh to flesh.
Because every breath that you will take
while you are sitting next to me
will bring life into my deepest hopes.
What’s your fantasy?
What’s your, what’s your, what’s your, what’s your…

‘Cause I was born to tell you I love you,
and I am torn to do what I have to,
to make you mine.
Stay with me tonight.

And I’m tired of being all alone,
and this solitary moment
makes me want to come back home.
( I know everything you wanted isn’t anything you have.)

‘Cause I was born to tell you I love you,
and I am torn to do what I have to,
‘Cause I was born to tell you I love you,
and I am torn to do what I have to,
to make you mine.
Stay with me tonight

Lizzie asks…

What are the lyrics for dark Blue by jacks mannequin?

Please tell me the correct lyrics and you will get 5 stars and best answer!
I want the lyrics for Dark Blue by Jacks Mannequin and The Mixed tape by Jacks mannequin. :)

admin answers:

“Dark Blue”

I have (I have) you breathing down my neck (breathing down my neck)
I don’t (don’t know) what you could possibly expect under this condition so
I’ll wait (I’ll wait) for the ambulance to come (ambulance to come)
Pick us up off the floor
What did you possibly expect under this condition so

Slow down.. This night’s a perfect shade of
Dark blue (dark blue)
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room when I’m here with you
I said the world could be burning down
Dark blue (dark blue)
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I’m here with you
I said the world could be burning ’til there’s nothing but dark blue..
Just dark blue

This flood (this flood) is slowly rising up swallowing the ground
Beneath my feet, Tell me how anybody thinks under this condition so
I’ll swim (I’ll swim) as the water rises up, the sun is sinking down
And now all I can see are the planets in a row
Suggesting it’s best that I slow down

This night’s a perfect shade of
Dark blue (dark blue)
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room when I’m here with you
I said the world could be burning (burning) down
Dark blue (dark blue)
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I’m here with you
I said the world could be burning dark blue

We were boxing
We were boxing the stars
We were boxing (we were boxing)
You were swinging for Mars
And then the water reached the West Coast
And took the power lines (the power lines)
And it was me and you (this could last forever)
And the whole town under water
There was nothing we could do
It was dark blue

Dark blue (dark blue)
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I’m here with you
I said the world could be burning (burning) down
Dark blue
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room well I’m here with you
I said the room could be burning now there’s nothing but dark blue

If you’ve ever been alone in the dark blue
If you’ve ever been alone you’ll know (you’ll know)

“The Mixed Tape”

This is morning
That’s when I spend the most time
Thinking ’bout what I’ve given up
This is a warning
When you start the day just to close the curtains
You’re thinking ’bout what I’ve given up

Where are you now?
As I’m swimming through the stereo
I’m writing you a symphony of sound
Where are you now?
As I rearrange the songs again
This mix could burn a hole in anyone
But it was you I was thinking of

I read your letter
The one you left when you broke into my house
Retracing every step you made
And you said you meant it
And there’s a piece of me in every single
Second of every single day
But if it’s true then tell me how it got this way

Where are you now?
As I’m swimming through the stereo
I’m writing you a symphony of sound
Where are you now?
As I rearrange the songs again
This mix could burn a hole in anyone
But it was you I was thinking of

And I can’t get to you
I can’t get to you
I can’t get to you (you, you)

Where are you now?
As I’m swimming through the stereo
I conduct a symphony of sound
Where are you now?
As I’m cutting through you track by track
I swear to God this mix could sink the sun
But it was you I was thinking of

And where are you now?
And where are you now?

And this is my mixed tape for her
It’s like I wrote every note
With my own fingers

Your Questions About An Impaired Use Of Language

November 16, 2013

Mary asks…

Which are the causes and consequences of anorexia and bulimia?

I would like to get basic informations, nothing that you have to be an expert to understand. Simple language would be great.

admin answers:

For starters it affects your hair a persons internal organs and not to mention the thinking, memoryloss and it causes a person’s body to shut down, in a nut shell it starts to kill you because a person needs food for fuel and the exstreem can really damage the body in a way that impairs a younger from growing into a mature adult.

George asks…

How is it that people who receive cochlear implants that have always been deaf understand language and speak?

I am aware that deaf people can learn how to talk (though the practice is controversial) but often deaf people that speak (like Marlee Matlin) often have speech that sounds delayed as they cannot hear speech. I am wondering how in inspirational YouTube videos of people receiving cochlear implants that “hear for the first time” and “have always been deaf” speak perfectly and understand speech when spoken to and hearing for the first time, this has always puzzled me. Is it safe to assume that they weren’t always deaf and could hear at one time or is it that they can hear, but at very low volumes – which sounds more like hearing-impaired? Thx

admin answers:

Some deaf people are raised using the ‘oral method’ meaning they do not sign. They learn to use their voice, how to understand what others are saying. They use lipreading and residual hearing along with any assustive devices like fm systems to ‘listen’. Somene who has not been taught this would not instantly sorak and understand. Also, people who get an implant do need dto learn how to use it understand words. And yes, some may have been hearing, or had a lot of residual hearing which decreased over time.

Robert asks…

What is the polite term for people who can’t hear?

I was recently taken to task for using the phrase “hearing impaired” because they don’t themselves as impaired. What do deaf people prefer?

admin answers:

Well when i was learning sign language my teacher said that deaf people don’t like the term hearing impaired. You don’t have to sugarcoat it. They just prefer being called plain deaf. It’s not offensive to them as that’s what they are.
