Your Questions About For Those About To Rock Tab

July 16, 2013

Helen asks…

What are some good songs to improve bass playing?

I’ve been playing bass for about 18 months now and I would say I’m fairly decent seeing as I played guitar for 2 years before-hand. I will play anything that is rock/metal as that is what I listen to, so I wondered if there are some songs that I can find some good quality tabs for that will help me to improve my overall playing. Thanks :)

admin answers:

Queen – Another One Bites the Dust
Alice in Chains – Would?
Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train
Flaw – Payback
Godsmack – Trippin’
Megadeth – Peace Sells
Metallica – Until it Sleeps
Nirvana – In Bloom
Stone Temple Pilots – Plush
10 Years – Russian Roulette

Charles asks…

Is is worth it to learn electric bass guitar?

I’m not planning on getting really good at it, by the way. Just good enough for some alternative rock bass tabs. (the easy ones. like paramore.) I’ve had experience with the guitar before, but i can only do really basic chords. (F, G, E, Em, A, D, C) Is making the switch to bass worth it? My dad thinks that I shouldn’t coz he says I should be really good in guitar first to learn bass. Is this true? Thanks!

admin answers:

I learnt bass before guitar and I don’t think I found playing that guitar that much easier than anyone else.*

Chris asks…

What are some Rock/Heavy Metal guitar solos that are pretty easy to play on guitar?

I’ve been playing for about 7 or 8 months and I’ve learned a lot of riffs and I’ve learned a lot of scales. But I would love to learn an easy guitar solo that is somewhat rock or metal or Punk would work too. Any suggestions?

admin answers:

Strangely. Most rock solos are reasonably easy to learn – yes there is some fast picking involved at times but speed can be picked up when yo have the technique.

One classic guitar solo that comes to mind that is pretty easy to play especially for somebody who is familiar with pentatonic scales is the classic Jimmy Page Solo in Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin. There are literally dozens of free guitar tabs showing you how to play this and it sounds awesome!

Your Questions About For Those Who Wait Lyrics

Ruth asks…

What is an Australian song that Illustrates australian Values?

Whats a song that has lyrics associated with the values of Australians? Preferebly more modern music, such as bliss n eso or hilltop hoods, but anythings fine, thanks.

admin answers:

I am Australian by Bruce Woodley

You can hear the song on youtube

These are the lyrics below
I came from the dream time, from the dusty red soil plains,
I am the ancient heart – the keeper of the flame,
I stood upon the rocky shore, I watched the tall ships come,
For forty thousand years I’d been the first Australian.
We are one but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come,
we share a dream,
And sing with one voice,
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I came upon the prison ship bound down by iron chains
I cleared the land, endured the lash and waited for the rains.
I’m a settler, I’m a farmer’s wife on a dry and barren run
A convict then a free man, I became Australian.
I’m the daughter of a digger who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman on the long and dusty road
I’m a child of the depression, I saw the good times come
I’m a bushy, I’m a battler, I am Australian.
We are one but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come,
we share a dream,
And sing with one voice,
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I’m a teller of stories, I’m a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira, and I paint the ghostly gums
I am Clancy on his horse, I’m Ned Kelly on the run
I’m the one who waltzed Matilda, I am Australian.
I’m the hot wind from the desert, I’m the black soil of the plains
I’m the mountains and the valleys, I’m the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky, the rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land, I am Australian.
We are one but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come,
we share a dream,
And sing with one voice,
I am, you are, we are Australian.

What do you think are the correct lyrics to this Anberlin song?

What do you think are the correct lyrics to the song “disappear” by Anberlin. I know the lyrics that came with the CD say that the lyrics are “Wait for me, will you wait for me? I need you on my side. Way for me, make way for me, With arms wide.” but I have also heard that thats a mix up and the real lyrics are “Wait for me, will you wait for me? I need you on my side. Wait for me, Meg wait for me, With arms wide”. Which do you think is correct?

Haha no its “Wait for me MAKE way for me….with arms wide…”

Your Questions About Naturally Improve Eyesight Without Glasses

July 14, 2013

Richard asks…

How can I “cure” my myopia?

I’m near sighted, in other terms I have myopia.
My vision is 18/20 or -2 if you’re european.
I don’t want to get contact lenses because they’re uncomfortable and I hate to open my eye lid to place the contact lens on my eye. Any special foods, drinks or maybe even exercies to somehow improve my vision naturally and safely please? No harsh comments, I’m serious and I’ve been wearing glasses for some time now and I hate them.
Also, what is the minimum age or Lasik?
In case of anything, I’m a male, 16.

Betty asks…

Fixing Nearsightedness naturaly?

Im a senior in high school and ever since10th grade my eye sight has went downhill. Every year until then i had 20/20 vision. I went to the eye doctor about a year ago and got a pair of glasses. I have been reading some things on the internet about fixing your eyes naturally and have a few questions about it.

Is there anyone that has tried it and can vouch for it actually working. If so, what is the best one to get. Also is there anything i can do myself without these products that can improve it.

Any help on this would be great.
Thanks in advance

admin answers:

Matt, I’m myopic (nearsighted) and I am also a board certified optician. Do you think that if there was anything out there that would correct vision naturally, I would have tried it? The fact is, there is nothing out there that will improve your visual acuity permanently other than Lasik surgery. If there was, everyone would be doing it. The closest we can come is wearing hard contacts which reshape your cornea overnight, then, during the next day, your eyesight is improved but as the day wears on, your cornea will go back to it’s regular shape and your visual acuity will decline.

Anything else is just bunk.

Save your money.

Laura asks…

how can astimatigtism be healed?

admin answers:

What is Astigmatism and can it be healed naturally! Astigmatism is caused when the eyeball loses its roundness and vision starts to become distorted. The eyes are never perfectly round so we all have astigmatism to some extent. They are constantly changing shape depending on the situation.

Astigmatism occurs every once in awhile and some people can even produce this ailment at will. This can be caused by pulling on the eye lids which causes blurred vision. The eyes usually will repair themselves in a matter of hours or sometimes days. This problem can be masked and your eyes never healed when you wear artificial lens.

Astigmatism is usually caused by unequal tension in the muscles around the eyes through mental strain. When your vision becomes blurry or distorted, this is a sign that your eyes need to relax and just take it easy. Most of the time we just ignore these signs.

Some of the things you can do to relax are stop what you are doing and take a quick break. Relax your neck and face by letting your head and eyes move more freely. Look away from what you are concentrating on and focus on objects across the room. Give your eyes a chance to move and view objects far away and then close again.

If you are at home, do the swinging exercise in front of a window. If possible, lie on the floor and let someone swing a pendulum over your head so that your eyes can focus on that object and move back and forth. In order to function properly, your eyes need to move around. Staring straight at something for hours at a time can do a lot of harm. That is why it’s best to take short breaks and just walk around.

Eating a healthy diet can always help improve your health as well as your eyesight. Be sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Always remember to keep your eyes in motion and take breaks often. This can help heal astigmatism naturally.

One woman who has shared about her astigmatism problems and how they were solved :

Adrienne Smith is a work at home business owner and she enjoys helping others find the same success.

Having had poor eyesight herself from many hours of computer work, she was thrilled to learn of these amazing methods that have improved her eyesight. If you would like to learn more about the methods mentioned above, please be sure to visit Vision Without Glasses today. Http://

George asks…

While most people still think of cardiovascular trouble as primarily afflicting men, the reality is that heart?

While most people still think of cardiovascular trouble as primarily afflicting men, the reality is that heart disease has never discriminated between the sexes. In fact, for a variety of complex reasons, the condition is more often fatal in women than in men – it is also more likely to leave women severely disabled by a stroke or congestive heart failure. The common belief that pre-menopausal women are immune to heart problems is simply wrong. Which of the following, if true, would most strengthen the argument?

admin answers:

Pre-menopausal women are not “immune” to heart disease. I don’t think there is any school of thought that thinks that. Pre-menopausal women are by far, more protected than men of the same age. Women catch up with guys post menopause rather quickly.

Heart disease, coronary heart disease, to be more specific, is not a “man’s” disease by any stretch of meaning. But men are hugely more susceptible to it than women are, specially in younger ages. Three is no comparison in the men population of 40′s and women of the same age as far as number of heart attacks and survival.

Over all, men die from coronary heart disease than women in the United States if not the entire world.

According to American Heart Association, there were 831,200 deaths from CVS in 2006, one of every 2.9 deaths!

2006 final death rates from CVD were 306.6 for white males and 422.8 for black males; for white females 215.5 and for black females 298.2. (Death rates are per 100,000 population. The rates listed use the year 2000 standard U.S. Population as the base for age adjustment.)

Your Questions About An Impaired Immune System

July 12, 2013

Susan asks…

What are the short and long term effects of sleep deprivation?

Okay, so lately (well for quite a while) I have been experiencing sleep issues eg, not being able to sleep at all, getting one/two hours sleep at a ridiculous hour and having to do a ‘routine’ before being able to sleep. What I am asking is this: What are the short and long term effects of sleep deprivation? Also, if you have any extra information about sleep issues it would be great.

Thanks, a lot.

admin answers:

Sleep deprivation and/or exhaustion. Physical and emotional exhaustion can induce hallucinations by blurring the line between sleep and wakefulness.

A person who loses one night’s sleep will generally be irritable and clumsy during the next day and will either become tired easily or speed up because of adrenalin. After missing two night’s sleep, a person will have problems concentrating and will begin to make mistakes on normal tasks. Three missed nights and a person will start to hallucinate and lose grasp of reality. Someone who gets just a few hours of sleep each night occurs a large “sleep debt” and can begin to experience many of the same problems over time. A 1997 study found that people whose sleep was restricted to four to five hours per night for one week needed two full nights of sleep to recover performance, alertness and normal mood.

Other short-term consequences include:

* Decreased daytime alertness. Loss of just one and half hours sleep can result in a 32% reduction in daytime alertness.
* Impaired memory and cognitive ability, the ability to think and process information.
* More than double the risk of sustaining an occupational injury.
* Impaired immune system.

Long-term consequences can include the following:

* High blood pressure
* Heart attack
* Heart failure
* Stroke
* Psychiatric problems such as depression and other mood disorders
* Mental impairment
* Increased mortality risk
* Relationship problems with a bed partner
* Obesity – (The link between obesity and sleep is an interesting one as lack of sleep can cause weight gain by increasing hunger and affecting metabolism, and extra weight can cause sleep disorders such as apnea which cause sleep deprivation.)

Linda asks…

why does a patient have an immune deficiency if he or she is making antibodies?

Positive diagnosis of AIDS is made when a patient has antibodies against the human immunodeficiency virus HIV. why does a patient have an immune deficiency if he or she is making antibodies?

admin answers:

No no no no. Having antibodies for HIV does not mean you have AIDS. The HIV virus attacks Helper T cells in your immune system. You will start producing antibodies for the attack, as strong as your immune system is, it keeps the virus in check for 8-11 years. When your body starts losing the war, then it becomes a problem. At around this time when your Helper T cell count reaches 200 or less per ml of blood. Then you are given the diagnosis of AIDS. This is when you immune system is really impaired.

Ruth asks…

What are the chances of dying from pneumonia?

I’m a 14 year old male and I recently had basal pneumonia. I’m feeling better now, but still worrying alot. I was wondering what are the chances someone will die from pneumonia.

admin answers:

Hospitalized Patients. For patients who require hospitalization for pneumonia, the mortality rate is between 10% and 25%. If pneumonia develops in patients already hospitalized for other conditions, the mortality rates are higher. They range from 50% to 70% and are greater in women than in men.

Older Adults. Community-acquired pneumonia is responsible for 350,000 to 620,000 hospitalizations in elderly people every year. The elderly have lower survival rates than younger people, and pneumonia and influenza are the fifth leading causes of death in this population. Even when older individuals recover from community-acquired pneumonia, they have higher than normal mortality rates over the next several years. Elderly people at particular risk are those with other medical problems and nursing home patients.

Very Young Children. About 20% of deaths in stillborn and very young infants are due to pneumonia. Small children who develop pneumonia and survive are at also at risk for developing lung problems in adulthood.

Patients With Impaired Immune Systems. Pneumonia is particularly serious in people with impaired immune systems, particularly AIDS patients, in whom pneumonia causes about half of all deaths.

Patients With Serious Medical Conditions. The disease is also very dangerous in people with diabetes, cirrhosis, sickle cell disease, cancer, and in those who have had their spleens removed.
