Your Questions About For Those Tears I Died Lyrics

March 16, 2013

Laura asks…

Are these lyrics from one of Immortal Technique’s songs?

And then the Lord cried, water falling out from his eyes
And my children died drowning in the tears from the sky
And it was then that Satan crawled back to me with a plan
A design for the ultimate corruption of man
and wich one if they are?

admin answers:

The song is called “War Is My Destiny”

Here is the song

Sharon asks…

Christians, do you know the name of this song?

I am 40 now, but when I was 10, there was this song that I learned in a foster home I was in & I can’t find it anywhere. Does anyone know the name of it. Here are the lyrics (As best as I remember them):

You said you’d be there
To share all my sorrows
You said you’d be there
Through all my tomorrows
And I came so close to sending you away
But just like you promised
You came there to stay
I just had to pray
And Jesus said come to the water
Stand by my side
I know you are thirsty
You won’t be denied
I felt every tear drop
In the darkness you cried
And I strove to remind you
That for those tears I died

Empty Sky
By: Adam Snow

Intro of a little kid talking:
Look at the sky, there’s no birds
flying above us, it’s so quiet, there’s black
smoking everywhere in the sky,
everyone is crying, the sky is empty.

Verse 1:
It started off like no other day,
the children’s are at school,
everyone’s at work, even the
four brave ones who not knowing
that their lives would be cut short
that very day.

Oh empty sky, how your sadness
covers the land. Oh empty sky,
everyone is shedding tears for you,
for you. Oh empty sky.

Verse 2:
That fiery crash brings shock into
our lives. How everyone’s heart
froze with sadness, everyone is
on there knees shedding tears.
The children’s stopped playing,
they glazed upon that empty sky
not know what just happened they
begin to cry.

Oh empty sky, how your sadness
covers the land. Oh empty sky,
everyone is in shock, crying for you,
for you. Oh empty sky.

Verse 3:
How can it be that that tragic event
claim four great lives, their families
in tears, sadness covers the land.
They died doing what they loved,
bringing the news into our homes,
not knowing that they would become
the news.

Oh empty sky, how your sadness
covers the land. Oh empty sky, everyone
is shedding tears for you, for you. Oh empty
sky, how everyone is on their knees, praying
for you Arizona’s family. Oh empty sky, everyone
is in shock, crying for you, for you.
Oh empty sky.
Oh empty sky.
Ooooh Empty Sky

Ending of a little kid talking:
Do you see the sky? There’s two
eagles soaring away, there’s peace
over the land. The sky is no longer
empty. We have four new angels
watching over us now.
Tears of the Angels
By: Adam Snow

Verse 1:
With the tears of the angels,
I will hold you close, so close
comforting you when you cry
the tears of an angel.

Verse 2:
I will forever kiss you my angel,
you are my angel. Hugging you,
holding you tight, dancing with
you under that midnight sky with
the tears of the angels raining down
on us.

Verse 3:
Baby, stay with me, never let me go.
Love me and I‘ll love you back with
the tears of an angel I promise to never
let you go, never let you go. I‘ll always
love you forever and ever, forever and
ever with the tears of the angels.

Verse 4:
You are my lover, my treasure, my sweet
lil angel. Promise you’ll stay with me
forever and ever, forever and ever with
the tears of the angels.

Verse 5:
Baby, marry me, hold me close, closer to
you. Let me live the rest of my life with you,
with you. The way you make me feel, I can
not explain, all I could say is that I am empty
without you.
Verse 6:
We are shedding tears of the angels together
forever and ever, forever and ever, forever
and ever I‘ll be there for you by your side
I‘ll be there with the tears of the angels. You
are the love of my life, the love of my life.

Your Questions About For Those In Peril On The Sea

March 15, 2013

Lizzie asks…

Christian: If you found out atheism were true, would it make your life *easier* or *different*?

Richard Wurmbrand, a Romanian Pastor who wrote a book called “Tortured For Christ”, was tortured in 14 years while in jail during the communist regime. He told the story of an interview on Italian television with a Cistercian Abbot – a Roman Catholic order of silence where and you live your whole life in silence, except for very rare hymn-singing and prayers.

The interviewer asked the Abbot of this monastery:
“What if you were to realize at the end of your life that atheism is true, and that there is no God. What if that were true?”

And the Abbot replied like this: “Holiness, silence, and sacrifice are beautiful in themselves – even without the promise of reward. I still will have used my life well.”

- – - – - – -
Given the below verses written by the Apostle Paul, do you think he would have given the same answer as the Abbot?

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. -1 Cor 15:19
And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. -1 Cor 15:30-31
From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness– 2 Cor 11:24-27

- – - – - – - -
How would you respond to the interviewer’s question? Like the Abbot, or like Paul?
Have you chosen a life that only makes sense if there’s a resurrection?

admin answers:

Life does make sense according to God’s plan for mankind….even for the spiritually blind, like yourself. There will be a resurrection. As a matter of fact, there will be 3 resurrections……..The first resurrection is called by that name: “. . . They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years . . . Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4-6). This resurrection will take place at the second coming of Christ when the righteous dead will be resurrected to immortality (1 Corinthians 15:50-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). This is called a “better resurrection” (Hebrews 11:35) because it is to immortality and rulership with Christ during the Millennium.

The second resurrection will take place at the end of the 1,000-year reign of Christ and the saints. “But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished” (Revelation 20:5). This resurrection is further described in verse 12: “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

This is a resurrection back to physical life (Ezekiel 37:1-14). It will include the vast majority of all people who have ever lived—people who never knew God and His great purpose for them. It will be an exciting time when virtually all of history comes back to life (Matthew 11:20-24; 12:41-42). These people will have a second chance for physical life but their first opportunity for salvation and glorious immortality in God’s family. They will be given ample time for learning and growing in God’s way of life. Truly, God’s plan includes everyone. He is not willing for any to perish but that all should come to repentance and salvation (2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:4).

The third resurrection will take place at the conclusion of God’s plan for mankind. This will be a resurrection to physical life for all those who have rejected God’s offer of eternal life in past ages—a resurrection to death in the lake of fire. “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:14-15; Hebrews 10:26-29; 2 Peter 3:10-12). Our loving God gives everyone an opportunity to have eternal life and wishes no one to perish. But if they refuse, the punishment is the second death, which ends their lives quickly and forever (Malachi 4:1, 3; Matthew 25:46).

The three resurrections reveal the order of God’s marvelous plan and purpose for all of humanity. It is appointed to man once to die (Hebrews 9:27), but afterward there will be a resurrection for everyone who has ever lived.

Paul asks…

What are some good historical/historical fantasy pirate books for adults?

Does anybody have any recommendations for Historical Fantasy pirate books, for adults? Regarding the fantasy aspect, it can only go as far as sea myths/superstitions, I do not want High Fantasy or the like where there is magic, and the world mythos is Sci-Fi, the ‘pirates’ are actually not the typical 18th century pirates, IE: fantasy sky-pirates.

Historical Fantasy = will be based on real piracy, has realism to a degree but is not a history lesson, but the author knows a lot of what they are writing about… as they should. I do not want novels based on actual pirates, whether re-imagined or not. I want ‘ordinary’ swashbuckling pirates :D

A novel/series that is for teens/young adults is a good alternative, but primarily I want one written for an adult audience. As long as it isn’t a trashy romance novel, or if it is centering around romance. I prefer male authors over females.

There has to be a lot of actual pirating and adventure in the novel; I’ve come across too many books where it’s mostly a soap opera/drama between a few characters, with hardly any plot at all, adventure or not. One example is Peril on the Sea by Michael Cadnum. I read it once and that is all.

I like action & adventure, thrillers, murder mysteries, backstabbing/twists, etc! One series I am very much into now is Flint & Silver by John Drake.

10 points to the most in-depth answer with several titles that touch nearly all of my Wanted points! Please, serious answers only, no ‘i dunno/google it/how about harry potter/vague fantasy/pirate references’ etc.

admin answers:

The best I have read are the ones by Wilbur Smith, the same guy that wrote the wildly bestselling Egyptian series River God, etc. The pirate/sailing books are called the Courtney Family Adventures. It took me a little while to catch up with the language because he uses all the sailing terms, etc. That I didn’t know much of. After reading three of the books, I can now say I know sailing terminology pretty well! They really are excellent books, though, and Smith’s writing style is one that I really like. You can check them out on Amazon and see if they sound like what you want:

Donna asks…

English help PLEASE!?

Ohkay so i have an essay to write for my exam tomorrow and i’ve completed half of it.

My question is: Analyze the role of the sea inThe Odyssey”, the island in “Lord of the Flies” and the forest in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and explain which setting complements the central theme best.

So here is what i have so far.

The Sea – Odysseus spends so much time sailing home that the sea really takes up a good chunk of his life. This is fitting, since the sea and its perils work much the same way the Odyssey argues that life does; it is full of suffering, but it can’t be avoided. The sea can send blessings like sea breezes to blow him home or obstacles like storms, Skylla and Charybdis, and treacherous islands. Because the sea is ruled by Poseidon, it is also a manifestation of the superiority of the gods and nature over man.

The island – The Lord of the Flies takes place on an island during World War II. This is significant since the isolation forms a sort of civilization and community, a sort of microcosm to the real world. At the same time, the island lacks a society and the societal laws and rules allowing for the boys to run wild and show their true, ugly, inner selves. Since the island is a microcosm, Golding uses it to reflect our world and give comments on our world and his view of human nature.

And now i need points for the forest .. but i don’t know what to write. If you could help me with some points it’d be greatly appreciated. Some of these points are not my own sentences but i will re-word them so i can finish my essay.

Also, my second question is :Explore the roles of the cyclops inThe Odyssey”, beastie in Lord of the Flies and the ass in A Midsummer Night’s dream and explain which creation has the greatest impact on the plot.

I don’t know how to start this one… HELP? :D
^ the stars were suppose to be the word a$$ but apparently it’s banned :O

admin answers:

Well, since it’s past the due date for your essay, this is probably no help, but I’m going to answer anyway :) .

Midsummer Night’s Dream is the representation of folly and blindness represented by young love, as well as females in society and sexuality. In the city, as may have been more in society back in, women were viewed as weaker vessels, those that are forever in the control of a man; before marriage, they were in the control of their fathers; when married, under their husbands (and, as shown in this play, the suitor had to be approved – or even chosen – by the father to wed the daughter). Disobedience is something that if frowned upon, with strong punishments by the law, as women had strict rules to conform to. Love and dreaming, in this story, were not seen in the city.

By stark contrast, the forest provided no laws, no strict rules to conform to, and fairies bound about freely. A less conformed standard gets put in place, and it shows in the change of the characters actions, which become more emotional, passionate, and more spurred to rage than in the city (helena is a clear example, her monologues become more emotional than in the city. Also, Demetrius’ and Lysander’s fight to the death, this didn’t happen over Hermia in a strict society). In many performances, the transition to the forest is portrayed in the characters by displaying more sexuality onstage (going with the ‘love’ between Titania and Bottom – it is alluded they made love. Also in the dialect between Demetrius and Helena, in which he claims to her that by running from society with him, by foolishly entrusting him her chastity, he may take advantage of that). The forest also holds symbols of fantasy and dream along with the freedom, such as with the fairies, the loss of rules, the fantasy of marrying your love, etc. In essence, the symbols of the forest are the basis of the play – freedom, trust, sexuality, and societal changes.

The irony of the forest, however, is that the relationships in the forest are all contrived. The flower that produced the juice that, when applied to the eyes, makes one fall in love with the first person they see, is what binds Demetrius to Helena, Lysander to Helena, Lysander from Hermia, and Bottom to Titania. This, within itself, almost contradicts the themes of the stories; even in the forest, which symbolizes freedom, is full of false relationships, slavery to the very magic that enticed them in the first place. Even the happy ending, when Demetrius confesses his love to Helena, he still is under the flowers power (Puck never took it off of him).
Hope this helps at all!

P.S. Also, this might be of interest to you, though it is more about the fire and feminine societal roles rather than the forest: The juice of the flower, which made the two men fall in love with women, can symbolize the menstrual blood (which was believed to be controlled by women). They symbolism of this is a continuation of the quote by Helena to Demetrius:
“Run when you will, the story shall be changed:
Apollo flies, and Daphne holds the chase;
The dove pursues the griffin; the mild hind
Makes speed to catch the tiger; bootless speed,
When cowardice pursues and valour flies.”
This quote is saying the weak will pursue the strong, the complete opposite of what it originally is. Women, being the “weaker” vessel in society, “controlling” men with the juice of the flower (symbolically)

Your Questions About An Impaired Immune System

March 14, 2013

Charles asks…

How to boost immune system?

I catch everything, seriously. I had mono in the past and since that time, I catch everything that goes around and it lasts twice as long as the average person. Any and all advice appreciated on how to boost my immune system.

admin answers:

To boost your immune system, you need to first avoid the things that weaken it such as junk food, toxins, stress, drugs, and sugar are some examples.

To boost it, here are many suggestions.

1) Keep practicing good personal hygiene care, wash your hands! The great plague of 1918 could have been avoided by practicing good personal hygiene.

2) get plenty of rest. During deep sleep, our body release potent immune-enhancing substances that strengthen your immune system function. By not allowing our body sufficient rest, the immune system will sputter, and as a result, not function at full capacity. We then are more likely to become ill with common illnesses. A healthy, deep sleep allows our body to release a significant amount of growth hormone that boost the immune system and aids in the growth and repair of the body.

3) get moderate and regular exercise
An increase in blood flow associated with moderate exercise helps to circulate antibodies along with white blood cells necessary to fight infection more quickly. As a result, this provides our bodies with an early warning system to ward off potentially damaging germs. In addition, the increase in body temperature as a result of physical activity may aid in inhibiting the growth of bacteria; thus allowing the body to fight infection more effectively.

4) Receiving a Regular Body Cleansing.
Body cleansing is essential because our bodies need to properly eliminate the toxic build up that has formed in our intestines (colon), which may lead to sickness and disease. Our body organs and tissues must be free of toxins for the immune system to function optimally thus enabling our bodies to receive the essential nutrients our bodies need.

5) Boost immune system by drinking plenty of filtered water.
Water is essential for all living things and keeps our immune system operating optimally while improving the way we feel, look and live. Without sufficient amounts of water, you may experience routine fatigue, dry skin, headaches, constipation, and a decrease normal bodily function which may lead to your body unable to fight off diseases. Without water we would literally dehydrate which could result in the shutting down of vital organs and ultimately end in death.

6) Eliminate all sugar and allergens from your diet.
Just a small amount of sugar has been proven to impair white blood cells up to 50% for very short periods of time. By discovering what our personal food allergies are, then eliminating or desensitizing them will help strengthen your immune system. By removing these triggers, our immune cells are strengthened in order to combat other invaders such as influenza rather than the allergen. The elimination of sugar from your diet can also strengthen immune system.

7) Eat nutritiously
Good foods to eat include organic fruits and vegetables, chloretta, medicinal mushrooms like maitake, shiitake, reishi, or turkey tail. Besides water, wheatgrass juice, aloe vera juice, or green tea are good drinks. If it doesn’t rot or sprout, do without.
Stay away from junk food like pop, bake goods, any processed foods. Bad foods contain stuff like refined sugar, sodium nitrite, Trans fats, Mono-sodium glutamate (MSG), Artificial colors, preservatives, and flavors.
8) Take supplements
Supplements are needed because our bodies can not produce the nutrients necessary to maintain optimum health. There are many nutrients needed in order to maintain a strong immune system. It is very challenging in the world we live in to obtain sufficient nutrition with the foods available to us. They are over processed and void of many essential nutrients. Additionally, food is grown in soils that have been over-planted and saturated with synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Vitamin and mineral deficiency subjects us to more diseases, aging, sickness, and the weakening of our immune system.

Best herbs include echinacea, goldenseal, garlic, olive leaf extract, elderberry, or astragalus.

Best vitamins include Vitamin A, C, or E. These are a good source of antioxidants, which will boost your immune system.
The minerals zinc and selenium also help with boosting your immune system.

As you can see, there is no one magic cure, one supplement, or one way to boost his immune system, but there are many things you can do to help yourself!

More details can be found at the website in the source box.

Betty asks…

Is it true that people with psoriasis are less likely to develop any kind of cancer than average population?

recently I red a paper where they state that since psoriasis proved to be autoimmune disorder – the immune system is too active and the level of TNF (the protein that kills a cancer cells) is too high, the people with psoriasis have a lover chance to get any sort of tumor. What do you think?

admin answers:

The incidence of skin cancer in patients with psoriasis seems to be low, despite repeated use of known carcinogens in treating the disorder. This may be due to a reduced capacity of psoriatic skin to metabolise precarcinogens because of impaired arylhydrocarbon hydroxylase (AHH) activity. If this hypothesis is correct, and impaired AHH activity in psoriatic skin is shared by other tissues, the incidence of cancers associated with environmental carcinogens may also be reduced in patients with psoriasis. Since the disease is probably genetically transmitted as a dominant trait, it may have persisted because it confers genetic advantage. This hypothesis, though speculative, provides a basis for further study.

David asks…

Why is it difficult for the body to detect cancer cells?

I’m working on an immune system project and have to answer this question. Any links or resources would be great as well! :-)
Thanks, y’all!

admin answers:

Your body’s immune system is designed to fight off invading cells that it thinks might harm you. In fact, each day, your immune system might detect and destroy dozens of microscopic bacteria and viruses. Unfortunately, it’s not quite as efficient when it comes to fighting off cancers.

Because your body only wants to fight off foreign invaders, it has to learn to recognize what’s normal and what’s not normal. For example, when you’re first exposed to a virus that causes the common cold, your body doesn’t know what it is, so you experience the full course of symptoms. Once it clears up, however, your immune system remembers what the virus looked like, and, if exposed to it again, knows how to fight it off. Unless your immune system is somehow impaired, this process works fairly well, and helps you stay healthy most of the time. Note that the fact that you can catch a cold again doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with your immune system; it means that you were exposed to a different cold virus.

Cancer cells start out as normal healthy cells. Even though, over time, they become more and more disorganized and start looking less and less like normal cells, the immune system never has a chance to learn to distinguish between the normal cell and the cancer cell. Your immune system isn’t incapable of fighting off the cancer cells—it just doesn’t know that it’s supposed to

Your Questions About Naturally Improve Eyesight Without Glasses

March 13, 2013

Mark asks…

My sister needs glasses?

My mom says my little sister needs glasses. She’s the youngest of 2, in the 3rd grade.

We are worried because no one in my family has ever needed glasses. Luckily, this goes for my grandparents on both sides as well. Only my grandpa on my dad’s side actually needs them to read the morning paper, but even without them, he can make out words.

THE QUESTION: Since my sister’s still a growing kid, I was wondering if there is any way to improve her vision naturally.

I have no idea how glasses work, so I’m just spewing any additional info you may need:

–Just in case you need an idea of my family’s ages, my parents are 40-50 years old, and my other sister and I are 18 and 20.
–I am unsure but my mom said my sister’s 27 of 20/20. What does that mean?
video games than my other sibling and I did when we were little. Also, she does not eat healthy. Personally, I think this is why she needs them.

Any help, advice, or input would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much!

admin answers:

I wore glasses for a couple of years and became very nearsighted. But one day I was bored at home and googled natural ways to improve eyesight. I found something called the Bates Method. It was a method to improve eyesight made by doctor William Bates in the early 1900s. He helped a lot of people with different vision problems improve their vision and get rid of their glasses. Doctors ofcourse will tell you that the eye exercises of the Bates Method don’t work because they want to sell you glasses. But tell your sister to relax and do palming.Tell her to sit in a comfortable position and cup her eyes with her hands so there isnt any light going through them. Tell her to relax for a couple of minutes. Tell her to rest her elbows in a table or desk so her hands dont get tired while palming. Also have her look at far away objects and then near objects to work the cilary muscle. Tell her to play outside more and exercise and not to watch a lot of tv or play video games. You can google more exercises and relaxation techniques because the Method says the person must relax if they want to improve. I was able to achieve normal vision and don’t wear glasses anymore.

Lisa asks…

Glasses and sight improvement?

I wear glasses for astigmatism -0.75,-1.75,180 and my friend -4.5 in both eyes.

My son given glasses for +0.50,-1.00,180 and her daughter told yesterday needs glasses for +1.00 in one eye and +3.00 in the other.

Just a bit confused as to why my eyesight is gradually getting worse, friends seems to have settled, my son has been told his may gradually worsen like mine and friend daughter has been told hers will probably head back down towards 0.

Any opticians out there explain ?
My friend and our are late 20′s and the 2 children are 5 and 6 yrs old.

admin answers:

Can you free yourself from contact lenses and glasses completely, naturally and without surgery? Read on to see how I did this seemingly impossible feat.

More than 10 years ago, I began a quest to improve my vision. I was 35 years old at the time and once again I needed to get a stronger pair of glasses to pass my motor vehicle eye test. I was quickly sliding down the slippery slope of dependency on corrective lenses – a path not unfamiliar to 100 million or more Americans. The stronger the lenses, the less my eyes had to work and the weaker they got (and the cycle starts over again). I began a search for another way. At the heart of my search was the seemingly unreachable goal of eliminating my need for corrective lenses of any kind. Laser eye surgery was either not readily available or not as widespread as it is now. Plus it was incredibly expensive not to mention the risk to your eyesight. As a young man, I had assumed that God had blessed me with spectacular vision. 20/20 until well past my 20′s. And perhaps He did. But not in the way that you might think. When I was about 30 years old I started to notice a slight blurrying of my vision. When my vision began to show signs of degradation, I immediately began looking for the cause. Yes, the cause. Why did my vision work “yesterday” but now seem to need some help? As you will read, I do not readily accept many things that most people view as inevitable and that included the need for glasses.

All of my life, I have been surrounded by people that wear corrective lenses of some sort. Kids everywhere have glasses or contacts. I should feel fortunate that I didn’t need glasses until my 30′s, right? But why should I (or anyone) need glasses so early in life? Why do kids need glasses? Could it be that, with few exceptions, the eyes just do not function properly for as long as the rest of the body? It just didn’t make any sense to me. But, now at 46 years of age, I have no need for any corrective lenses and I did not have surgery. My eyes are as good as they were when I was a kid – better than 20/20.

Thomas asks…

my eye power low 1.75minus how can i improe?

admin answers:

There is not a way to improve it naturally, you can wear glasses/contacts but they will not improve your eyesight, you can have laser eye surgery which is there to help you see without glasses or contact lenses, but in reality laser eye surgery only covers the symptoms if your myopia is eye ball shape related but if is is corneal related then it improves it.

Good luck

Naturally getting 20/20 vision?

Okay so my eyesight is rather bad, my left eye is -5.25, and my right is -4.75 and was curious, is it possible to get to 20/20 vision naturally? if yes, how? I often spend alot of time on computers, which I guess is parshly a problem with my eyesight but is it possible to regain the 20/20 vision?

admin answers:

Much of our food is genetically modiefied and processed to the point, there is no nutriiton in it.In generations past, grains were allowed to sprout in the fields, before being ground in to flour. Many foods were fermented or soaked for a period of time, which made digestion much much easier. This,is no longer done. The books Nourishing traditions and Gut and Psychology Syndrome explain, how food was properly prepared, and how to do it today.Still, you likely need some supplements.Vit A lutein are a couple of eye nutrients.Google eye nutrients for more. The book,Improve Your Vision Without Glasses Or Contact Lenses is very good.Look at reviews at Amazon.Bilberry is very good for the eyes.

Daniel asks…

Question about my eyesight:?

I recently went to an eye doctor and took an eye exam. He said that I have 25/20 vision on my left eye, but 60/20 vision on my right eye. He said It’s a good idea to get glasses, but I don’t think I need them. My right eye has always been worse, though I can see pretty clearly when both eyes are open. I think I might be nearsighted. At school, I can see the board/screen and can drive without them. You don’t HAVE to have a perfect 20/20 vision. However, I’m still curious if I need them now or in the near future. What do you think?

Also, is there a way to make your eyesight better or keep from getting worse naturally (without the need for glasses/contacts/surgery)? I don’t want to have glasses lol.

admin answers:

When your two eyes are so radically different, the worse eye can continue to get even worse. Also your binocular vision may deteriorate. Wearing glasses is not always satisfactory, because the image sizes may be noticeably different.

A contact lens for the worse eye could be a good solution. Because the lens sits right on the eye, the problem of differing image sizes is minimized. It’s true that contact lenses can be a lot of trouble to wear and maintain, but it might be a good answer for you. Also, advances are continually being made in laser resculpting of the cornea to improve vision. That’s not for everybody, but it could help you.

My advice: Work with an ophthalmologist (eye doctor with an M.D. Degree) to arrive at the best solution for you.

(i know i was really stupid :( )

and how do you get glasses, like real perscription ones. Do you go to lenzcraft and buy them or to the doctors first? Should i ignore my problem?

Any stories or personal experience about glasses and how you got glasses would be greatly appreciated. Do you like glasses? Can your eyesight improve? How did you get glasses?

thank you very much for your help :)

Your glasses don’t “make” your vision worse. However, the world without glasses starts to look worse for two big reasons.

1: as we grow, our need for glasses naturally changes. Your prescription might’ve been in the process of changing anyways. This is really common when you’re in your teens and twenties! Eyes can change practically overnight, when you’re young.

2: your brain might just be getting used to the way things look when you wear your glasses. It’s going “gee, things look great with these on!” so the world without glasses just doesn’t look so awesome anymore.

Basically, no, there’s no way you “ruined” or hurt your eyes. That said, you’re probably still not getting the best vision possible out of reading glasses: see an “eye doc” like lenscrafters to get a real prescription pair.

Personally, I think I look better with glasses than without. :)
