Your Questions About Carnitine

November 18, 2012

Linda asks…

What is Taurine, Ginseng, L – Carnitine, things that are in energy drinks like monster??!?

What are these things in the drink and what do they do to the body, things like Panax Ginseng, Niacin, Riboflavin, everything in an energy drink and what are the effects?

admin answers:

I have never checked into the others but i do know that Ginseng is supposed to be good for you and gives you energy

Lisa asks…

Can I take L-Carnitine while doing the Master Cleanse?

Every year in January I do the Master Cleanse to start of the year right. The one draw back each year is I lose a decent amount of weight in muscle. I was just wondering if it would be okay if I took L-Carnitine to help prevent that from happening quite so much. Would this disrupt the cleanse? Thank you.

admin answers:

Our bodies contain the #1 tools essential to cleanse and detox. A liver and a pair of kidneys.
The only and easiest way to cleanse and detox is to stop putting all the chemicals, additives and concentrates from a diet of processed and refined foods in our daily diet.
Most drugs, alcohol, and food chemicals exit the body through normal processing and filtering by the liver and kidneys over a period of 3 to 4 days.
A healthy diet of whole fresh foods is the key to “cleansing” and “detoxing”.
There is no miracle diet or product that will accelerate the process.
Our bodies are designed starting with the teeth to consume whole solid foods. The stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, intestines, and colon are all designed to work with solid foods, not highly concentrated juices. That is why we have teeth instead of blender blades in our mouths.
Both soluble and insoluble fiber are part of a healthy diet. Juicing substantially reduces the value and effectiveness of insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber keeps the nutrients and toxic cellular waste dumped back into the lower small intestine moving through the digestive tract. This reduces the amount of time waste spends in the body and lowers toxicity.
While juicing concentrates nutrients, it also concentrates natural sugars in fruits. Liquids are absorbed much quicker in the small intestines resulting in spiking of blood sugar and insulin levels in the blood.
WIthout complex carbohydrates and large insoluble fibers in the digestive system to extend and slow the absorption process, insulin spikes occur too often. A simple example is giving a diabetic with low blood sugar a glass of juice. It enters the bloodstream quickly. Constant insulin spikes increase appetite stimulation. So you can end up drinking even more juice. The problem with any fast or cleanse is things will change when it ends.
A healthy life diet of whole fresh foods including lean meats, eggs, fish, dairy, whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables are the keys to health, proper weight, and overall wellness. Avoid as much processed and refined food as possible.
Long I know but it is important to point out the change to a clean diet is the key yet we readily give the credit to the pill, potion, diet pill, detox, cleanse, or fad diet.
Good luck and good health.

Richard asks…

Can you tell me about CoQ10 and L Carnitine?

Also where can I find them online to purchase.

admin answers:

Co Q10 is naturally made in your body but it is good to take as a supplement cause our bodies often do not produce enough.
If you take cholestrol, heart or blood medicine it is something you really need to take it because the statins in the cholestrol meds deplete it and you end up dying from lack of CoQ10.

http://www.spacedoc.net/statins_CoQ10.htm

Carnitine is an amino acid
it is especially good to take if you do training and/or sports

You can buy them many places but try and find a good quality that is not synthetic.

Sandra asks…

Has anyone taught themselves a different language using google translate?

I’m talking a highschool french class (french 1&2) But I feel like were going to slow. We’ve spent the past 5 weeks going over grammar and proper use of you and I and us and we. I know how to pronounce most of the words. DO you think I could learn quicker learning french words off of google translate? And do you know of anyone whos learned a whole language using only / mostly Google Translate?

admin answers:

Hello. I have your answer. Go to this website. Its www.livemocha.com
The website is awesome and has tons of languages to learn!
ALSO you have to fill out quizzed and THEN your quizzes get sent out to people in France for THEM to grade your homework so youll know right then and there if your answers are correct.
CHeck out the website. Its free and I love it. Also you can record what you see in a sentence and the french people will correct you if you did not pronounce the words correctly. Its recommended you use a microphone while going on the website though to use the website like its supposed to be used.

Linda asks…

How to remove google translate toolbar banner?

The google translate banner at the top of certain webpages means I cannot click on links and view other pages on the site, it keeps taking me back to the home page. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this function for good as I have tried pressing tools then un-selecting translate but it still appears?

admin answers:

There is a cross button in the right of the toolbar

Thomas asks…

Google Translate redirect to standard interface instead of the iPhone optimised version?

When I access Google Translate using Safari browser on iPhone it takes me to the standard interface that is just meant for PCs, rather than the iPhone optimised interface, and this is annoying. It was working before but not anymore.

Your Questions About If You Choose To Answer This Question At Random

Mary asks…

How is it possible to go through your entire Y!A experience without bieng Inquisitive?

To rephrase the question: How is it possible to go through your entire experience on Y!A without asking any questions at all or asking a very scarce amount of questions?

Here are some examples, like if someone is at Level 7 or something and it says something like this on thier Q&A profile:

Answers: 10,000
Questions Asked: 0

or

Answers: 20,000
Questions asked: 1

I chose random amounts for the answer amounts, but you get the idea of what im trying to say here.

admin answers:

I have been a member of yahoo answers since 21 November 2006 and am one of those people you are asking about. I have asked 4 questions and I got very good answers.
Since then I have answered other peoples questions and voted a lot, When I have something that I can’t find an answer too, by myself, I will ask another question and hope for more good answers.
That is the point of the site, I believe.

Linda asks…

Three prisoners are informed by their jailer that one of them has been chosen at random to be executed …?

Three prisoners are informed by their jailer that one of them has been chosen at random to be executed, and the other two are to be freed. Prisoner A asks the jailer to tell him privately one of his fellow prisoners that will be set free, claiming that there would be no harm in divulging this information because he already knows that at least one of the two will go free. The jailer refuses to answer this question, pointing out that if A knew which of his fellow prisoners were to be set free, then his own probability of being executed would rise from 1/3 to 1/2 because he would then be one of two prisoners. What do you think of the jailer’s reasoning?

admin answers:

This is an interesting variation of the Monty Hall problem. Let’s imagine that some in the public are making wagers on who will be executed. We’ll call the prisoners A, B, C. Before there was any talk between A and the jailer, the odds of A having already been selected for execution is 1/3, because that’s how the selection was conducted. We have 3 possible cases, the selected man being either A, B, or C. Let’s say that the jailer agrees to release either B or C, that have not been selected for execution, leaving 2 prisoners. The betting public is very likely to feel that now the odds of A being executed is 1/2, since there are only 2 prisoners left. But in fact, there are still 3 possible cases, which is that prisoner A is the selected one, and jailer the frees either B or C, or B is the selected on, and jailer the frees C, or C is the selected one, and the jailer frees B, so that the odds of A being the selected one is still 1/3, while the odds of the remaining B or C being the selected one is now 2/3. The jailer’s explanation to A why he should not release a prisoner should be that it’s because then the other prisoner besides A would find his own odds of being the selected one doubled, and so an act of kindness would be balanced by an act of unkindness.

Chris asks…

Paul asks…

Please help me with my biology! ):?

The elderly can have impaired immune systems, making them susceptible to infections that can take longer to heal. Which of the following would be most helpful in preventing these types of illnesses in the elderly?

Older people should avoid exercise so that their bodies are not exposed to stress.

Older people should regularly take antibiotics to prevent development of infection.

Older people should be vaccinated for common viruses like the flu virus.

Older people should avoid vaccinations as it could compromise their immune systems.

Doctors generally encourage pregnant women to get plenty of calcium in their diets for themselves and their developing fetus. Why is this important advice?

The fetus will take calcium from the mother’s bones if the mother does not have enough in her diet.

Having plenty of calcium available will ensure that the muscles of the fetus will develop properly without taking calcium from the mother’s muscles.

If the mother does not take in enough calcium during pregnancy the fetus will not be able to form its own bones.

Calcium is necessary in large quantities during pregnancy to allow the mother’s muscles to stretch around the baby.

Which of the following describes the most likely impact that exposure to pollutants in the atmosphere would have on one’s personal health?

It would trigger cell-mediated immune responses.

It would lead to upper respiratory infections and pneumonia.

It would increase the release of histamine by plasma cells.

It would decrease one’s ability to produce antibodies.

Which of the following best describes an example of a nonspecific internal response to harmful bacteria?

Skin serves as a physical barrier that prevents bacteria from entering the body.

Saliva contains enzymes that destroy bacteria and prevent infection.

Antibodies recognize and destroy antigens, which prevents bacterial infections from occurring.

Bacterial infection causes the release of histamine, which leads to inflammation and swelling.

A researcher is interested in finding out if the amount of amylase, a digestive enzyme responsible for digesting starch, varies from person to person. Which of the following would be the best way to test this?

Take saliva samples from a number of people, half of whom have just eaten a cracker and half who have just eaten a piece of cheese, and analyze the amount of amylase in each.

Take samples of chyme from the stomachs of a number of people who have not eaten in 8 hours and measure the quantity of amylase in each sample.

Which of the following best explains a long-term disadvantage of antibiotic use in patient care?

Antibiotics are more expensive to manufacture and distribute than vaccines.

Vaccines are covered by most health care plans, while many antibiotics are not.

Most vaccines are harmless, while some antibiotics have dangerous side effects.

Misuse of antibiotics can lead to an increase in antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria

Which of the following best describes what causes plasma cells to form during a humoral immune response?

Memory B cells signal phagocytes to attack infected cells and divide, producing plasma cells.

The antibodies on the surface of B cells bind to antigens, and the B cells grow and divide, producing plasma cells.

The antigens on the surface of a pathogen attack healthy cells, and the resulting inflammation signals helper T cells to divide, producing plasma cells.

Memory T cells recognize antigens and signal T lymphocytes to divide, producing plasma cells.

James asks…

swine flu question pls ans?

I was just looking at some figures of the swine flu thing and discovered the average age of the patients is 16.

How come?? Shouldnt it be the young or the elderly or those with a weaker/impaired immune system. 16 year olds tend to have rather strong and healthy T-cells. So why?>?

admin answers:

Because teens engage in social contact a lot. Kissing, water bottle sharing.

Yes, it definitely sounds like one. Especially since you have only eaten 438 calories today and you feel that that’s too high. That’s actually way too low, your body is in starvation mode. The least amount of calories you should ever give your body daily is 1200. You need to see a doctor asap.

Your Questions About For Those Who Have Heart

November 15, 2012
By

Ken asks…

to those who say we are just this physical bodies and nothing more!!!!?

Some people may believe we are nothing more than this physical or biologocal body.Well I want them and others to read this completely and share their views.
Normal people(wether religious or not, believer in god or not) become happy after they do a good act, even if their action can’t be justified by materialistic laws , for example sacrifising one’s self for another person, or to give your kidney to someone else for free.
And they will get sad in their hearts when they do something evil , even if they make a good money(that their actions are justifyable by materialistic laws) ofcourse I am talking about ‘normal’ people whose heart hasn’t changed dramatically.
So if we read between the lines it proves there is something more than this physical world it proves reward and consequence for our actions. >>
this is a feeling so deep in our heart(deeper than one can say because they were taught it in the school when they were child), it is deep there.
Just like we love and want the beauty , we love good acts( even if they dont make sense with materialistic laws).
you know, when something is in our heart there is a response outside, if there is the hunger inside ,there is food outside. if there is the need of love inside ,there is marriage and love outside. For every natural need or tendency or feeling that we have inside our hearts ,there is a response a satisfaction outside. the response to this feeling is that there is more than
this world, there is reward and consequenses.
Things make sense.
If we admire sombody when he get killed, trying to rescue somebody else which doesnt make sense by the physical laws,it means our hearts knows that there is more than this physical world.even if some people has become unbelievers and consciously deny it while their hearts unconsciously act in according to spritual laws.
and yes when god created us he put this in our heart.
Note that I dont say non-belivers dont do good acts, some of them do,beacause the truth is in their hearts but they consciously deny it.and sometimes they act in according to spritual laws without paying attention to it.

peace to you all

admin answers:

This is all the bible is an interpretation of a conscience feelings . The bible wasn’t meant for actual facts just an interpretation.God is an embellished story just like in mythology. The bible wasn’t meant to be taken literally however like your conscience- god is good when you look for something in side to know if it is the right thing to do. This is the same as the devil how he is when humans do something bad that is what was meant by these men that wrote the bible. The bible was is too old to be taken seriously. Society has changed. People are still naive enough to believe a this old, old book as truth, when evidence doesn’t exist anywhere else that any of the events happened. Interpretation an not fact it is nothing more then to influence people.

dont forget that animals were also created by God.and also note that based on materialistic laws we should be only thinking of ourselves, and when we die its THE END. so why should we care about survival of others , why should this be in our hearts..it agian proves that a higher
power(GOD) who wanted the survival on earth to continue put this in our hearts

To Dear valoriousblue777 :

I tried to email you but it said your email is not confirmed , Any ways I try to give you more info about Islam here in additional details.

I will try to say as much as I can but you can get more complete and presice information about Islam from good and valid islamic sources.any misconception that you had can be answered by islamic scholars and teachers.
One of the meanings of islam is peace and The main literal meaning of the word Islam is submission to God’s will ,the One God, who is the creator of all beings, who created this world and the hereafter , who is the best in every way, the most powerfull , most merciful, most just, all knowing and …… ..
and this great God is also so closed to us , In the holy quran it is mentioned that God is closer to us than our neck’s vein ..he is closer to us than ourselves
the One God who has no son or daughter or a partner , in fact he is greater than a being who has a son or a partner. he is eternal. and he wants us to only worship him(without any partners) Only he deserves to be worshiped. (when I say “he” i dont mean he is male,
it is just a language thing, he is beyond being male or female, being male or female means you need the opposite sex, means you are not complete and perfect, while he is complete and perfect on his own).
There is a very beautiful relationship between a true muslim’s heart and one God who created us , helps us .. ..
we Only worship God, we dont worship things or people that he has created( even if they are great prophets ) ,that we can see ,hear, smell, imagine ,…..
So the main message of islam is that there is Only One God(who deserves to be worshiped) and others that say there are more than one ,they have lost the way ,
prophet Mohammad(pbuh) is the last true messenger of God , and the main messege that he gave to mankind was that there is ,Only one God, (do not associate others with him as god), and to submit to his will and follow his rules.
you know, prophet mohammad’s message was the same as other prophets’ messages
( like Jesus , moses , abraham and ….. .)and it was to”worship Only God and submit to his will” but people changed the original messages of those prophets in th ecourse of history
and that was why God sent new messengers, untill he sent his LAST messenger
and God revealed the Holy Quran to him, he propmised that he will protect the holy Quran
from being changed.and if we look today, there are so many copies of the quran in the world , old and new, they are all exactly the same not even a word is different.
Quran is the literal word of God.
and now, it makes sense that Islam is the true Last religion, because the original message
is there in he Holy Quran, and God will protect the Holy quran from being changed.
there are also lots of miracles discovered in the Quran, like mathematical miracles,
sientific miracle and ….. . of course the spritual and moral contents of the Holy quran is more important but these miracles are things that people discovered in the quran(some of them were proven recently with the recent technology, while God revealed the Quran 1400 years ago to prophet mohammad in arabia) . they are some signs for those who think.
The best way to undrestand Islam is by reading the quran,it self. the unchanged word of God.
Note that, some verses of the quran revealed to propphet mohammad when the enemies of muslims, had invaded them, and God revealed those verses and allowed the muslims to fight with them and defend themselves, and those verses were about specific wars and defending of themselves against the invasion of the enemies , but today some people use those verses in neagtive propaganda against islam and they say islam is about war and…..
Dont listen to their propaganda they Lie easily. Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance
toward others and Love.
and in the Islamic societies muslims and christians and the jewish used to live together
in peace and respect, and even in one incident in the begining of Islam a jewish old woman
complains from the Leader of the muslims society to a Islamic court, and the court do its job with complete justice and they both attended in the court , regardless of the fact that she complained from the leader of the society. so it shows that, not only the true muslims are tolorent to other groups but they deal with them with respect and never abuse thier rights.
other rules and of islam include giving charity to the needy, be just upon everybody, dont lie,
dont follow your desires instead of God’s will, pray 5 times a day( this one is so beautifull),
fast in the month of ramazan, dont have sex out of marriage, dont drink alcholol, and … .. .. .. . . .
and we are also responsible for our acts , and doing good acts towards other people is a part of the God’s will that we should submit to (a part of god’s commands that we obey).
And if we submit to his will sincerely, and repent from our sins, he is all knowing and he knows what are in the hearts of people and who is sincere,He will forgive our sins and erors and we will get to heaven after we die, he is the most merciful.
But he will not forgive those sins which in them we abuse a right from other people(it’s called the people’s right)
if we take away a right from somebody , we should ask for forgiveness from that person
and try to make it up for him/her.or we will face the consequenses.
he is the most just.

look I really cant say enough of islam the best way to know it better is by readin the holy quarn and ask your questions from good muslim scholars and use good and valid islamic websites,
I dont know many websites for becoming familiar with Islam, because I was born in a muslim family ,thanks God. But there are alot of them on the internet, and there are
some websits that the nenemies of islam have made. they want to spread their lies and
the negative propaganda, they want to stop people from going to the way of truth.
but they cant.
So get good and valid websites and books about islam,( as I said the best way is reading Quarn itself)
I found that these are good websites but I didnt read them in details.

http://www.harunyahya.com/

http://www.islamfortoday.com/

you may find better websites too, as I havent done a good research on websites, ask from muslims about good books or web sites(like in the yahoo answers)
and ignore some websites that lie about Islam.
Rumi (a great muslim poet) syas in a poem

Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn’t matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.

***********write me back when you read what I wrote here and let me know if you have read this( you can edit your aswer)

God bless you.

I hope read it

I agree with the idea that there is more to us and the world than us and the world. However, it is up to us and our creative brains to see God in ourselves and the world. I would also offer this interesting aside->

Genetically speaking, altruism has been identified as an attractive quality to prospective mates. Altruism represents a defender of the species and an assurance that a mate and young will be cared for and not abandoned for personal reasons. Think like an animal, if he/she is careless with others, won’t he/she be careless with me or my young? Its interesting to wonder how DNA managed to teach us how to live in peace, no? Perhaps God and evolution are not all so different?
