How To Improve Eyesight, Learn It Here

Article by Michael P. Chan

Many people need to wear eyeglasses. It is a fact that as you get older your need for eyeglasses naturally increases. The fact is, there are other things that you can do in order to get better vision. If the prospect of wearing eyeglasses for the rest of your life just is not something that appeals to you, then you need to learn this important information on how to improve eyesight naturally and easily.

There are a lot of exercises that you can do in order to help your eyesight. They are not even very complicated. The fact is, most people’s eyes get strained and that is the main reason that they have a harder time seeing. If you can do some eye exercises to take the strain off of your eyes then you should be able to see more clearly.

When you eyes are tired, they tend to blur and can even burn a little bit. When this occurs, you will need to find a quiet spot to sit down and relax. Then relax your eyes and close them for a few minutes. This will take out a lot of the strain from your eyes.

Some of the eyesight issues is just a result of our own bad habits. Once we recognize our own bad habits we can stop doing them and see more clearly. The main thing that we should do is relax our eyes when they get stressed out and strained.

Other techniques that can really help are simple focusing exercises. One really great one is to focus on one thing that is closeup and then focus on an object that is farther away. You will need to focus on each object for a few seconds and do this exercise many times in a row.

You can also go online and buy some natural pills and vitamin that will really improve your eyesight. There are some very good products on the market. You just need to go online and research them. Get better eyesight naturally and stop the need of wearing glasses.

Your Questions About Eye Exercises

November 30, 2011

James asks…

Can eye exercises really improve your vision?

I’m near sighted. I read somewhere online that it is possible to improve your vision with eye exercises, if so, what are some exercises?

admin answers:

There are many eye exercises for different problems. They involve training of extraocular muscles (eye movement in every direction and circular) and intraocular – ciliary muscle (switching focus from near objects to distant objects).

Exercises improve tonus and circulation in these muscles which is essential for relaxation. In people with refractive errors, exercising extraocular muscles applies certain pressure on eye balls which can result in changing shape back to normal. Also exercising ciliary muscle leads to better acommodation.

Besides exercises there are also some relaxation techniques that can also help, as already mentioned in previous answers.

Jenny asks…

Can i correct my vision naturally by doing some eye exercises?

I have heard that doing some eye exercises like palming and rotation of eye balls etc can improve your vision. Has anyone tried and got some results?

admin answers:

You have probably heard of Dr. W.H. Bates who in the early ’900 devised a natural method to “cure” nearsightedness. He was a pioneer in the field of myopia, and he perfectly understood the causes of nearsightedness which have nothing to do with genetics. Unfortunately his method isn’t really effective and that leads many eye doctors/optometrists to dismiss his work entirely. That’s a huge mistake because he was right about many things. There are a few modern techniques which greatly improved on the old Bates method and are much more effective.
I am following a recent method which so far allowed me to go from -3.75 to .1.75 and I’m not stopping there

Beware of expensive methods that promise wonders in a few weeks, they are a scam. The only things you need are time (several months at least for an average myopia) and patience.
Dear Prince , I’m aware that the Bates method can’t do much and that’s why I never tried it. Let’s not talk about Bates. How do you explain my improvement ?

Susan asks…

How can I improve my eyesight without glasses or surgery? Are there any proven eye exercises to do in a month?

I have to pass a job related medical eye exam in one month and my vision is just beyond the requirements, but surgery and the use of glasses or contacts is not allowed. Are there any eye exercises or techniques I can do now to help me pass? If so what are they and how often should they be performed? Also should I not wear my glasses or contacts until then to help train my eyes. Thanks!
I am nearsighted and in my mid twenties in age

admin answers:

Stop watching TV and The PC monitor, that may be affecting your sight and it can be a temporary ailment, hopefully.

I’m Not joking.

Your Questions About Naturally Improve Eyesight

November 29, 2011

George asks…

What are ways to naturally improve eyesight?

admin answers:

Eating green leafy vegetables is a natural way to improve eye-sight.

Thomas asks…

Is there any way to naturally improve your eyesight?

Something free. I’ve heard that eating carrots improves your eyesight… is that just an old wives tale? I’ve heard a variation that it only improves seeing in the dark too.

I’ve heard about “eye exercises” but it sounds like BS to me.

I’m very near-sighted with astigmatism if that makes any difference.

admin answers:

I can’t really answer about *improving* your eyesight (I am also extremely nearsighted), but I did want to share a relaxing eye exercise I was told about when I was younger that I still practice to this day. If you are like me and have to look through strong prescription lenses all day, you probably know how nice it feels to take off your glasses, like when you go to bed, or wash your face, or shower. The exercise is, take 5 or 10 minutes out of your day to sit down, or lie down, without your glasses on. Cover your eyes for 5 or 10 minutes, and just feel the muscles relax. Looking through glasses all day forces your eyes to adjust to a new shape… But not their natural shape (as horrible as your vision may be with that natural shape). So let your eyes relax and have a break for 10 minutes. Don’t let any light in. After covering them for 5-10 minutes, uncover them. Leave your glasses off, and take a look around the room. Now try to identify every colour of the rainbow. Look around until you find something vibrantly red. Now orange. Next, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink. With your own unaided eyes colours appear more bright and visible.

I did hear of a way to PREVENT nearsightedness, particularly among children… Check out the website: It’s quite “anti eye-care-business”, but it’s worth considering.

Hope this was helpful!

Ken asks…

Is there any way to improve eyesight naturally?

Are there any ways besides eating carrots? I heard there were eye exercises, but, do they actually work?

admin answers:

See the answer I just gave here;_ylt=AksdMdcvhgZrV8oK1e.CiZPty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100629004657AAteVP8&show=7#profile-info-w8c1mEaMaa

But he does recommend some things besides the eyewash formula

email me for the links to the save your life videos and manual and see the films and the chapter in the manual on the eyes.

Actually carrots are one part of it in the form of three glasses of organic carrot juice with some other things so see the link above and email me for that manual chapter on the eyes

It would not hurt to do the bates eye exercises either and read the eye chart as he recommends daily..Glasses often make you worst and the book is interesting as he explains why and his studies in the new york school system

oh you might also add organic bilberry tincture to your routine.

Your Questions About Improve Vision Naturally

November 28, 2011

Michael asks…

How to improve my vision?

I found some ways to do this naturally, but would like to hear any tips anyone out there has. I don’t have awful vision, just bad enough to need contacts. And I’m nearsighted (if that makes a difference). Just looking for something to do every morning that might eventually ween me off of contacts.

admin answers:

Laser eye surgery

Paul asks…

Is there a way to improve your eye vision getting your 20/20?

I have 20/30 vision but i don’t want lasik eye surgery or contacts, but naturally.

admin answers:

I don’t mean to sound sarcastic but if better vision was so easily achieved, Lasik surgery would not have been invented.

Mark asks…

how can i improve my eye vision?

i am short sighted. I don’t want to wear glasses. i want to improve my eye naturally.

admin answers:

Crossing and uncrossing your eyes can help. You basically need to keep them moving around to exercise the muscle, like any other muscle in the body.

Your Questions About Eye Exercises For Double Vision

November 27, 2011

Maria asks…

Can an eye turn (strabismus) be corrected in a 19 year old?

I have had this eye turn since I was very little and have always done eye exercises for it. But the turn is not easy for me to control anymore. It embarrasses me a lot. My eye will water and I get headaches when I read. I get double vision because my vision in both eyes is 20/20. Help, please? My Ophthalmologist says the turn is too poorly controlled and too large for eye exercises to work. It’s a 30 degree turn. Surgery is the only way? At least my doctor is optimistic but I’m quite nervous.
Would my eye stay straight when tired after the surgery… would I see double after?

admin answers:

On the information you’ve given, conservative surgery would seem the route of choice.

If you’ve got some degree of fusion, and little or no amblyopia,
little or no incomitancy (squint varies angle with direction of gaze) your chances are pretty good.

Otherwise you are looking to have to occlude one eye to prevent double vision (it can be done with a cosmetic contact lens with a black pupil, sometimes) at least when tired or faced with lots of demanding work.

“Would my eye stay straight when tired after the surgery… Would I see double after?”

They’d stand a much better chance after surgery, and have a much reduced risk of double vision, if you have some degree of established binocular fusion, which seems likely as described, but varies from case to case.
*If so* getting your eyes in better approximate relaxed alignment should then allow the natural “lock” to cut in without excessive stress.

With no binocular vision or lock, (when the surgery is purely cosmetic) there is no particular reason for the eyes to stay straight even if the surgery is very accurate initially. In such cases the non-dominant eye does often tend to drift again over the course of years.

John asks…

My eye will drift out of alignment at times, how can this be fixed?

It causes me to be self-conscious and it also causes me a lot of headaches when I study (after doing a lot of reading). How can this be corrected? Eye exercises or surgery? I’m in my twenties and I’ve had this since I was 3. But it’s never bothered me too greatly until recently. Both of my eyes see 20/20. Any personal experiences with this condition? Any help? I’m really nervous. :( At least I see good, but sometimes I’ll get double vision and the headaches are pretty unbearable. I have to take medicine for them every day. Thanks so much.

admin answers:

I’m not a medical professional but, anything to do with your eyes, and your vision is pretty serious for the most part, especially if it’s resulting in headaches. If you’ve been taking medication, unless it’s something simple and over the counter, chances are you’ve talked to a doctor about it already.

Maybe get a second or even a third opinion, and see an optometrist in the near future. I hope everything is okay

Helen asks…

eye problems please help asap?

before going to a dr, can anyone help me out with this please?
my boyfriend said that he was seeing double vision in just one eye…hes trying to make weight for the military. hes super stressed, exercises intense and a lot, and is basically only eating rice, veggies, and protein shakes. This just happened today.

admin answers:

Monocular (one eye) diplopia (double vision) is usually refractive error like astigmatism. Does he wear glasses/contacts? I’d start with an optometrist. Primary care provider wont know what to do with him
